Meanwhile you recall that the King of Langersun isn't particularly exalted or diabolical. He's a decent king by all stories you've heard.

"Neither. He's decent from what I recall, but neither particularly good or bad."

[Anastasia]

"Oh." Emily snaps her fingers, "Well, that's a good thing, but it means we can't just ignore him lightly. "

[Iron Dragoon]

"Yes. It might be good to try to make contact after the proposal is made. That way we can try some initial national diplomacy as well."

[Anastasia]

"When will we go, then?" Emily asks.

Okay, so are you waiting on word about diplomatic contact to get back?

Yeah, I figure it'll be easier in the long run to package it all together. Since I am, I might as well make the proposal.

Response is speedy, but surely teleportation magic helps. Diviner Alethas bows slowly before you as you sit in your study, "Ma'am," she says, "We have word from Langersun."

Alyssa waives a hand and uses her telekinesis to float a drink and a bowl of fruit over to Alethas.

"And, what was the response?"

[Anastasia]

The scroll is presented to you and then she sits at your nearby table, "Thank you," she says, "I have not taken the liberty of reading it, as it is addressed to you."

Alyssa nods and inspects it with a quick detect magic. No sense in not being careful.

[Anastasia]

No magic on it, just a firm wax seal.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa pops it open and starts to read.

[Anastasia]

Alyssa, you have my permission to do this under one condition: You must ensure that Ianvasah does not remain in Langersun when you leave, by whatever measures you deem fit and that do not impose on the Crown nor damage the Crown's interests.

Burning down the Preserves is acceptable as long as the damages are kept within reasonable bounds.
