[Anastasia]

Added to the todo list. They happened, I'll just do the mechanical work a little later. Oraga is back if you wish to talk to him.

[Corwin]

In order, I'd like to chat with Kascha, find out the state of the Celestia-Fire raids and then see Oraga.

[Anastasia]

Kascha is easy to catch as she's already there. She sits back in her chair, eyes closed. Healing energy flows around her, a corona of flame. Her body fades, transforming. The room is now dominated by a phoenix. Positive energy fills the room, chasing away any lingering pain from the day's efforts.

"Oh!" Kascha gasps, looking about and seeing you. "I'm so sorry, I was just trying to make sure I healed right," she says, looking about, her wing idly knocking over a few nearby chairs. Blushing, "I've found that when I'm pressured about that, I tend to take this form without even thinking about it."

Go ahead.

[Corwin]

"It's alright, I don't really mind what form you take," Seira assures her. "I was hoping to hear whether you had an interesting find yourself, similar to Elle and Donald."

[Anastasia]

Staying in that form, wing to her beak as she preens her feathers, "Well," She begins, "We did get some lore, but I'm not that familiar with siege work. If Afina wasn't busy, I'd ask her, but I don't really want to disturb her. She was supposed to go on vacation, but I hear she's been up to something."

[Corwin]

"What a shame. If only we had a sentient golem with unparalleled knowledge of metalworks and magic...."

[Anastasia]

A pause in preening. "Oh." Kascha says slowly, "...I feel silly. Very silly."

[Corwin]

"Something for you to take care of, later!" Seira says cheerfully. "How did Xera do? Any weaknesses to correct? And did she actually like the mission?"

[Anastasia]

"She liked it and she did fine. She has a natural poise in battle," Kascha quickly goes on, "She's only lacking in practical experience, but that'll solve itself as she sees more seasoning in battle. Mmm, she is a little too conservative and defensive at times I thought. A little too willing to let a foe survive in favor of tending to the injured, letting them strike again."

[Corwin]

"Yeah, that's usually among the first lessons you learn," Seira agrees. "But it's an instinct honed through life and death battles, and she skipped that part starting up, same as Emily. At least if you specialize a bit, you can do both? I think a few of Aurora's top officers could charge in while having the presence of mind to heal as needed at the same time."

[Anastasia]

"You're right," Kascha agrees, "Jaela's good at that, along with someone like Sylvie or Balyss. I know Jaela's busy, Sylvie's gone and Balyss....mmm, last I heard, she was a diplomat for Sharess in Brightwater. Rapture in particular," A delicate cough follows, "Maybe I can get her to spend a little time here or send Xera over there."

[Corwin]

"Actually, General Jaela is busy with the new Crusade, isn't she?" Seira muses. "How about we send Xera over to Aurora to help? Hit two birds with one stone?"

[Anastasia]

"That could work. I can handle the diplomacy of it. Oh, and maybe she'll like meeting Surraruthru," she adds in thoughtfully, "Though I'm not sure they'd get along."
