Seira needs no further invitation to cut loose! With a roar she strikes at Pistis Sophia with her claws, tears at her with her teeth, slams her wings down on either side of her body to keep her still just long enough for a tail strike to land! Precision is abandoned for volume of blows, as quantity has a quality of its own!

Forgot to subtract 5 for the suppressed greater magic fang in the earlier strikes but I'm 20-fishing anyway.

No save on the stunning fists. Even if she's not immune and I'm not checking, she literally can't fail a DC 40 save.

You claw and bite, trying to hit the impossible. You push yourself, claw missing and see it. Not anything you can elaborate, but something. Something you can sense more than anything else - THERE! You lash out with a sudden backhanded claw, more of a smack than anything - and you catch her right in the side. The softest gasp for air from the blow and you push, Pistis Sophia dodging - but again, THERE! You lean forward and grab her with a bite, chomping her arm and tossing her aside. She flips in the air and lands in a crouch - smiling. Smiling widely.

"Well done!" she says, "For a few moments, you followed me! In a few short decades you've grown so far, Seira. Now I wait with anticipation to see how much farther you grow." Bruising that's already healing, already regenerating, the signs of your injuries leaving her in moments. She rises, a hand sized stone in hand, rough. She closes her fist around it and opens it moments later. A smooth stone is now there, colored blue with milky bands of white. "How long as it been since I made one of these," she murmurs, eyes on the stone. "When someone knocks me down so, I give them a memento of the occasion, a gift of insight. Here."

Seira makes an inquisitive noise, shifting back to her usual form to stand by her side.

[Anastasia]

It is a stone. A humble stone, nothing but a bit of rock picked up from the ground.

"Is it not a simple thing, an unhidden thing? Why, it is merely a small stone." Pistis Sophia says, "Yet in it is the potential of the divine." She places the stone in your hand, "Study the stone. It in may the beginnings of an artifact. A mere stone it will always be, but a stone of insight and wisdom."

"Perhaps meditation is one part of training that I've been neglecting after reaching my heights," Seira muses, accepting the stone. So long as it's not heavy and she needs to carry it everywhere, anyway.

"Since I would not wish to bore you while I did so now, would you like to see my merged magical-martial style for solo engagements?" she offers.

[Anastasia]

"Please," Pistis Sophia invites, "Show me."

Seira claps her hands and hops back to put some distance between them. It wouldn't matter, not with the routine she is about to demonstrate! Her suppressed spells are restored, all but those she considers a limited resource and cannot be spared for a spar such as this, but Seira doesn't linger on such thoughts!

Her arms windmill, trailing fire behind as she gets into an aggressive stance, and she wastes no time in punching ahead! Tiny fireballs shoot out towards Pistis Sophia, resolving into a constellation of tiny fire elementals surrounding her all over, and then Seira follows them! Becoming a living flame, she zooms hot on their trail to resolve into a fiery goddess of judgement!

Hopefully! Precasting stage is using all my precast spells from the usual combat load-out aside from Celestial Valor and Glorious Rally. Channeled spell would remain Chain Dispel, it might not do much but should show what I'm aiming for in an attack like this. Let's use Dragonfire Wrath for that very thing, and because it's aesthetically very pretty! I'm also deploying flankers before entering combat.

My swifts are a Miracle'd fiery emulation of that Lightning Leap spell and a transformation to dragon form while coming out of it.

You gather in your power and strike - and strike true. While your burning lightning does nothing to Pistis Sophia at all, your strikes are accurate - taps as she flows with them, smiling throughout. The mists gather around her as she moves, taking each blow that you land, three in total, standing all the while. She's hit, jerked back by them as you strike and strike again, landing in a crouch after you send her flying.

"You gather much to yourself to battle beyond your limits," Pistis Sophia says.

The mist gathering isn't on her sheet. I do keep posted deities with a few secrets for the sake of situations like this. It matters more for ones you're likely to fight for real, but this is a good friendly example of it.

"It is a heavy reliance on magic," Seira agrees, returning to her true self once more and offering Pistis Sophia a bow, fist held against the flat of the other hand. "The concept is sacrificing the future for the now, and so magical resources that would normally be spread out across the battle or even several engagements are all drained for a decisive advantage in the opening exchange of blows."

[Anastasia]

"Trying to win in one swift strike?" Pistis Sophia returns the bow, "There can be wisdom in that."

[Corwin]

"It takes inspiration from desperate struggles when your back is to the wall and you throw anything you can at the enemy," Seira elaborates, straightening back up. "After all, if everything is on the line, holding back is meaningless. But there is an interesting conclusion one can draw from this, to answer those who would call it wasteful and to spread the magical resources out more evenly. If you decide the threat is of the utmost level, and you are unable to take the enemy down in that desperate first assault, why do you think you would fair better in a drawn-out engagement? Even if you have something approaching to a perfect defense, that is usually a losing proposition against stronger opponents."

[Anastasia]

To this Pistis Sophia merely nods and smiles, "Would you like to walk further with me, or do tasks draw you on?"

[Corwin]

"We can walk," Seira readily agrees, sneaking a glance over at Lumenbur.

[Anastasia]

Thus you walk. As you do, "Do you ever wonder if the other powers of good grow jealous of newcomers?" Pistis Sophia asks.
