"Something to bear in mind," Alicia agrees, having a look in the no longer looped alleyway to see if it hides anything.

Lying within the no longer looped area, you can see something metal mostly covered by the sands.

"There," Syala points at it as you see it, a gesture from her removing the sand cover. Here sits a metal orb, smooth and polished, the size of a fist.

"Marie, can you tell us what that is?" Alicia asks so as to give her proxy something to do.

Smiling, Marie walks forward and leans over to examine the metal orb...

The tulani bends over to dig the orb out and hold it up. "This is nice, you can use it to convert weaker spells into a stronger one. It just adds circles together so it's got an efficient rate of exchange, but it only works once per day."

Alicia glances at Chrona, "Unless you have Chronomancy to cheat that limit," she says, opening her portable hole for Marie to put the orb inside. "I saw stairs into a basement of one of the houses, lets try those next?" she then adds to her companions, going to explore that way.

[Anastasia]

"Exactly," Chrona 42 smiles, "The limits of magic and recovery mean adventurers, especially spellcasters, only have so much power a day. But when time is relative, a day can be relative."

[Ebiris]

"Only really want to use it for items though, since if you accelerate time to recover your spells you're still stuck waiting that long yourself even if it's an instant for everyone else," Alicia says as they go down.
