You pass through the cave in. Past it is a larger cavern with a passage to the south. Here is a large pond, full of clear water. It bubbles up from below, a natural spring beneath the desert.

Being thorough, Marie explores the pond below the surface before she sees where the south passage leads.

Is this area lit by those same globes as the other chamber?

The same green dots of light are floating about.

Marie plunges into the water, finding it leads to what look sto be various underground currents and the like. Various parts of the water table and aquifers, that manner of thing. It's all coming up from below.

She doesn't explore too deeply, coming back up and floating down the southern passage.

[Anastasia]

Sandstone is around you, thick and tinted green by the lights. This passage goes on a little ways, until in the distance, you see that the greenish hue seems to stop entirely, replaced with utter pitch black darkness. It's about 45ft away. Utter darkness, green glow dying against that.

Well that's magic. What spell is making it then?

A magic item, a darkskull further bolstered to provide absolute darkness around it within the range of the unhallow.

She'll leave that for the moment then. Going back the way she came to the chamber directly below the sands she passed through, Marie explores the open passage to the southwest from there.

As you pass through the cave in, your sharp hearing can just make out distorted sound - voices. Just barely, just at the very edge of the cave in, but you swear you hear something just ahead.

She moves closer to the sound of those voices so she can better hear what they're saying!

[Anastasia]

Going to poke out of the cave in?

[Ebiris]

Yes. Currently Mare is a tiny incorporeal ball under improved invisibility and nondetection (DC 47 CL to overcome).

[Anastasia]

You peek out. The first person here is bald and wearing heavy leather armor, along with heavy boots with iron greaves and iron bracers. He's muscular yet carries no weapon. He's leaning against a wall as the other stands there. A minotaur - the bull man is sniffing the air as he gestures, odd movements indicative of arcane magic. He's wearing a loincloth and leather pants with bands of steel sewn in. His chest is rippling and huge, the chest of a powerful warrior. He has a greataxe on his belt.

"There," The minotaur rumbles. "It's cast."

The bald one lets out a sour grunt, "About damn time. It's sloppy work relying on spot castings of this."

What's been cast? What magic is here?!

Greater arcane sight and blessed sight still up to identify any spells and also the presence of evil.

It's a modified form of forbiddance, temporary but not requiring the same investment of components or with the permanent duration. It'll stop ethereal travel going up, at least around this part of it.
