Anastasia

He is. She is not. She is the one in the cage. She is the one that Myriad wishes to free. She waits. She is so tired.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

"This feels vaguely familiar... maybe because I'm a sucker for romance and it sounds that way, undead nonwithstanding," Seira muses, before glancing back at the others. "Any ideas for this mysterious 'she'?"

Seira attempts to ask the other dragon all the same, even as she isn't sure she'll get a clear answer there.
Can you be clearer about what is the cage or who is she? Where the cage is, when she was put into it and how, anything that helps us speak of the same thing?
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

The cage is around her. The cage is always around her. The cage is his cruelty.

She can't rest unless he is stopped. She has nothing left to lose. She is a victim.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"...Wait a minute." Moore says, quietly. "Maybe it isn't Sylvie, but what if it's 21?"

He looks to the woman. "Does the cage take the form of a book...?"

Anastasia

The cage is not a book. The cage is veiled.

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Well, there goes that idea." He says.

Corwin

Are you... talking of the gate to pure Good? The one last used to rescue Benfal?
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Ebiris

"Seira, remember who Sylian was working for? Someone who is veiled, a certain Demon Lord," Alicia says, before making a face. "I'm certainly not sure about calling her a victim, unless she actually has no control over her actions because of that cage. A cage of behaviour, or Chaos and Evil?"

Corwin

"Oh wow, you're right! And now my old pal Zguuj is with her. Yeah, I didn't think of her since victim's about the last thing that leaps into your mind in that context."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Nephrite

"I'm guessing there's a bit of a story to this, too." Moore says, looking between Seira and Alicia.

Anastasia

"There is," Antenora exhales heavily, "That's a disturbing insight to her origins, then."

Jetina looks around, back and forth, "Which one?"

"Pale Mother," Oberuth's voice is frosty, "That explains a few things."
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore opens his mouth and then shuts it again.

What?!

Corwin

Seira decides to confirm this!
Is she the one we call Pale Mother? And also, could you respond to my question about the gate?
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Ebiris

"The caged one our new friend is talking about isn't your Sylvie," Alicia shakes her head. "It's the Demon Lord Pale Night. She who held the eladrin children of Androlynne captive to be tortured for ages. Mother of Graz'zt."

Anastasia

She is. The gate is not the gate. The gate is what he can open, perhaps.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
