"Can you share senses with your familiars?" Seira asks Alicia. "I was thinking of the old-fashioned summoned monkey scouting here."

[Ebiris]

"Not a monkey, but yes," Alicia agrees with the overall sentiment, summoning forth a monadic deva.

That deva is then luckily made into Alicia's familiar via divine providence and sent into the circle.

Divine familiar ability used and also alter reality for interplanar telepathic bond.

[Anastasia]

As Alicia works, Oberuth comes over to Moore. "What's Hope's Landing?" he asks back, "Your home city?"

Meanwhile Alicia sees that it comes out a hallway heading along before turning in two directions at the end, north and south you think. The walls are a deep, brassy color.

[Ebiris]

Is there another teleport circle on the other end? If there is the deva will try stepping off of it and then back on.

[Anastasia]

There is. It smoothly teleports the deva right back.

[Nephrite]

"Oh, I'm sorry, I should've explained that. It's the name of my fortress in Celestia. It's on Lunia." He smiles. "Ah, I really should call it base of operations, fortress makes it sound... bigger." A small laugh after that. "Lord Erathaol gave me permission to establish one, and it seemed best to do it there so people could visit easily."

[Ebiris]

"It's safe to go both ways, no immediate danger and the walls are brass," Alicia reports, dismissing the deva. "Though I'd rather explore all the hallways open to us first before trying any teleporter. Why don't we go back to the next room towards where we started and see where the North passage leads from there?"

[Anastasia]

"They always seem to get bigger," Oberuth remarks, "Especially when you succeed."

"Well, when you win you attract people and need more space. It's only natural," Amaryl adds in the meantime.

"We're getting bigger, anyway." Jetina adds at that, perking up, "They're expanding both the basements and the grounds the last I saw."

[Corwin]

"I've been meaning to ask, actually," Seira muses, keeping near Moore and Jetina as they follow Alicia's suggestion. "The attack on Lunia earlier, that was due to Eblis's treachery, I take it?"

[Nephrite]

"Well, that's mostly because it's such a good staging point for troops because of the war." Moore says. "I imagine it'll quiet down after that."

He turns to look at Seira. "You know, that's a good question. I thought the same thing, myself. I did ask and was told it isn't someone currently in Celestia, so it's entirely possible. There was no way that just the Sultan himself could've managed to create so many portals there."

[Corwin]

"Any ideas if the security breach was fixed?"

[Nephrite]

"I'd hope so!" Moore says with some enthusiasm. "It seemed like whatever it was it was being handled. I don't think the efreet were expecting the Light of Chronias to be weaponized against them."

[Anastasia]

The party returns to where the dead dragons lie without incident.

"If Eblis did it, it either can't be changed or they allowed it," Antenora's voice speaks up, clear, "Perhaps Celestia hasn't given up on Eblis after all this time."

"After what he's done?" This draws a deep frown from Amaryl, slowing, "Do you really think forgiveness can go that far? It's one thing when you've never known better, but for everything there and that he's done, just for one person?"

Going to the north, there is a hall that goes on a ways, becoming a mixed purple-blue ahead. It ends in a T intersection, passages going east and west. Standing guard here is a dragon man - a dragonborn. He wears full armor, just enough of his golden features visible to see.

"It was weaponised?" Alicia asks. On one hand the unholy being stricken by such light makes sense, but something about using something so pure and holy to kill doesn't sit right with her.

"I can confirm that Celestia hasn't given up on Eblis. Then again, maybe it's more a family thing than a Celestia thing?"
