"It shouldn't work, but it does. It's delicious," Alicia says, smiling at the cake before she holds up Red Knight's letter. "Lets see what someone outside of Sylica thinks of your ascension then, shall we?" she breaks the wax seal and unfurls it, holding the parchment so they can both see.

[Anastasia]

It reads as follows.

Congratulations.

A hunter in the shadows is still a hunter, and I know hunting. I extend an invitation for you, Alicia and any others you wish to come to my realm for an enjoyable hunt and celebration. Tempus himself may choose to attend.

The Red Knight.

[Ebiris]

"An invitation to a hunt, hmm?" Alicia makes a thoughtful noise. "Though the invitation gives may name, you're the lady of the hour Jessica. Interested?"

[Anastasia]

Jessica starts to say something but stops. "...Yes, I believe I am," she finally says. "It's an invitation, a chance for a friendship."

[Ebiris]

That earns an approving nod. "She's reaching out to us," she agrees. "Ordinarily I talk with other deities just by flexing divine will to ensure my words reach them, or send my avatar if a personal touch is required. But since Red Knight chose to impart her message to text we should reciprocate. You, me, and Syala should be a good party - Antenora can be in charge while we're gone."

[Anastasia]

A consideration at that. "Can I reply to her like that? I was able to do it to you when you contacted me."

[Ebiris]

"You should be able to," Alicia nods. "Organise your thoughts clearly so you have the right words in mind, then think of Red Knight and how you want her to hear those words from you to her. You're a goddess now, sister, making your desires reality like this is one of the simplest things a deity can do."

[Anastasia]

Jessica focuses and smiles after perhaps ten seconds.

I heard her message, Alicia.

[Ebiris]

I hope she was polite. We'd be happy to attend your hunt, whenever it may be.

[Anastasia]

Splendid. The day after tomorrow it is.

[Ebiris]

In that case we will arrive with the dawn on Ysgard.

Aloud she speaks now, "So we have that to look forward to. Your first chance to present yourself as a goddess outside the friendly environment of Sylica. Nervous?" she asks Jessica, a gentle smile on her lips.

[Anastasia]

"Terrified," Jessica admits, "But also excited." She takes a breath, "Keep swimming until you either figure out how to swim or you drown. I don't aim to drown."

[Ebiris]

"Just remember your own deeds are worthy of legend too," she pats Jessica's hand. "You stole Zariel out from under Lixer's nose right alongside Seira. Don't be intimidated even if others have been at this longer than you."

[Anastasia]

"Alicia speaks the truth," Naeys says, "If you doubt, visit others who follow your path, such as Domiel."

A breath out, "I understand...and are you going to finish that cake, Alicia? I'll take it if you aren't." Jessica adds. "It really is his best work."

[Ebiris]

"That's good advice, Naeys," Alicia says approvingly, cutting the cake in half and creating another fork so she can share with Jessica. "What other news do you have?" she asks, treating herself to another bite.
