There are many Sharrans here, yet clearly no champions. As other members of the Guard land, Sharras fall one and all, blasted by double barrages. Oberuth doesn't lose a step, striding forward and ahead. "Fan out," Oberuth commands, shortly.

One way to smash the opening act.

"That way was unhallowed, I never investigated it before," Marie points off in the direction she avoided last time in the mistaken belief it would keep her from being noticed by Shar.

[Anastasia]

Oberuth nods shortly, "Eudard," he says, said paladin nodding and taking men with him, going towards it. Oberuth strides ahead in the meantime.

[Ebiris]

Marie sticks with Oberuth. He's a warrior, she's a mage, together they form an unbeatable solid unit!

It's like having one Alicia pretty much, isn't it?

[Anastasia]

Going out, the hall here is as you remember, but now silent. Empty.

"...help..." Cries from below, cries from the direction you heard them last time.

[Ebiris]

"Heard screams down there last time. Could be a trick, but I've seen Sharran dungeons before, they like keeping captives around to prolong their suffering," Marie says grimly, pointing the way down for them to go investigate.

[Anastasia]

A grunt at that, "I know," Oberuth says, going in that direction. "They also make good bait."

[Ebiris]

That they do, but even so it must be investigated!

[Anastasia]

A door is kicked down, Oberuth leading the way to stairs. The two of you head down...and as you do, you can begin to hear something. It sounds like singing.

[Ebiris]

"Nothing good can come of that. Listen to my song instead," Marie takes a breath and then starts to sing, playing to Oberuth's sensibilities and singing out some Crimson Guard marching songs!

Using the bardic music Countersong. Marie's perform check can be used in place of a saving throw vs a sonic or language dependent magical effect if the perform check comes out higher. She'll take 10 for 60, so any saves vs Shar's song that come below that can have a result of 60 instead.

[Anastasia]

The sound is counteracted, your countersong drowning it out. Oberuth takes a slight breath here and nods after a moment, "That should hold. Keep it up, don't stop."

Marie gives Oberuth a thumbs up, her majestic tulani voice filling the air as they advance.
