Nephrite

You know you can't just introduce nameless NPCs without me asking who they are! K:P for 91.

Moore gives a bow himself. "I apologize if we're interrupting anything." He says.

Anastasia

You do not know him by name, but you know what he is. He is an Elemental Guardian, a powerful monadic devas who sees to various Heavenly interests across the elemental planes. Rare and powerful, they are elite agents. They're also obscure, as they tend to be deep in the most obscure aspects of the elemental planes.

"None needed," The angel replies, "I'll not cause you to tarry any longer."

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Light's wisdom be with you." Moore says before he turns to address the abode as usual.

"Lord Crystalle, I have come to you seeking information on something. For whatever it's worth, it has nothing to do with the war." Moore offers, a small smile afterwards. "I am seeking information on... some sort of monster, an aberration or something more, that I believe to exist within Earth and perhaps part of Mineral. It is an enormous, carnivorous thing with many mouths and tentacles. I've not heard of such a thing before, but as it resides near your boarders, I thought you may be familiar with it." He explains.

Anastasia

"Curious. Do you have an image of it?" Crystalle asks. "An illusion will do."

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"I do not, just this description," Moore begins as he clears his throat. "'It is filled with one gigantic thing of blue-gray scales, no body, just a blobby, scaled thing. Thousands of tendrils that end in mouths snake out countless miles and miles, reaching out to devour all around it.'" He says. "It apparently has eaten elementals and dao as well, so even if you may not be familiar with whatever it is, perhaps if there have been any places where you know things have gone missing...?"

Anastasia

"That is the Danaxmos," Crystalle says, "Thought to have been slain eons ago, a creation of Ogremoch's clergy from a vial of Grumbar's blood."

"Thought," Kaja speaks up, "Which means someone's playing a con game."

"Hardly the first time," Jetina speaks up, "How better to hide something than make everyone think it's dead and buried? Especially if it may be kin to you and you have no wish for it to perish."

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore nods. "Thank you, Lord Crystalle. We intend to slay it, for a variety of different reasons... is there anything you can tell us about it that might aid us?" He asks. "I imagine us attacking it may not go unnoticed, but... well, I have a sinking suspicion that something like that could be unleashed in the middle of this war, so I'd rather be rid of it anyway, regardless of any reprisals we may face."

Anastasia

"It can devour anything," Crystalle says, "But it showed a preference for meat and creatures. It is as hard to break as diamond, though magic can be more effective."

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Do you know if weapons are safe to use against it, or does it corrode them even if you just strike it?" Moore asks.

Anastasia

"I believe weapons are safe to use against it, so long as it doesn't eat them, but it prefers meat," Crystalle says.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Now it's the simple matter of actually finding it." Moore says with a grin. "I will try some divinations, now that we know who we're up against. If I find anything of note when it is defeated that belongs to you or to the people of Earth, I will bring it back here."

Anastasia

A soft chiming sound is heard across the room and...

Do you have anything else to add here?
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Nope, we will go back and see if a Divination will work. Specifically:

'Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego Danaxmos'

But I am going to guess it will fail. If so, I will try with a different one, but I will wait to hear the results of this one.

For reference, I get the highest chance of success (90%) with Divination.

I will note the gold deductions once finished, so far 25.

Anastasia

Go back home, you mean? Just to be clear.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Yes, apologies, go back to Hope's Landing.
