What happens next is Kaja ripping the Child of Death asunder, nothing else. Shreds of now thrice dead flesh rain to the ground, all that remains as Cresiel turns west. He flies forth in a single, bloody minded charge, hammer raised high.

The heavy blow slams the Child of Death back, caving in much of its chest. Yet it lives through sheer unholy power, despite a wound that would slay any mortal. It stumbles back, withdrawling, retreating into the mists and out of immediate sight, shielded by them.

"Onward, ignore them!" Moore shouts. "If they regroup to attack us again then we'll destroy them!"

[Anastasia]

"Forward!" Cresiel seconds, taking to the air again.

Shouldn't the Limited Wish Control Winds still be pushing it away, or did that stop? I was under the impression it was a continual effect but I may have misunderstood.

See, that's why weekend breaks suck. My bad. Strike that line.

You advance through the fog - which begins to thicken. However, you winds disperse it around the party, blowing it away and keeping you moving. You're moving fast as everyone can, clearing a mile for sure. It's getting hotter as you advance, a reddish glow starting to permeate the fog.

"Be ready for... something!" Moore shouts to the others. "Jetina, can you ward us against fire to be safe?"

Jetina's voice rings true as the red glow becomes bright. Incoming! Great gouts of lava are flying sideways like blasts of water, directed right at the party.

Reflex if you care to dodge, though being fire immune obviously makes the burning to death part not a concern.

Let's just barrel through it. If it ends up being magical lava that burns through fire protection then obviously I've made a terrible mistake.

Cresiel advances onward, determination letting him plow shield first through the great blasts of liquid rock. Kaja is behind him, using him to advance. Yet Moore is caught hard, checked and blasted back as Xandra is merely checked, holding position against the lava, arms up to shield herself. Jetina is the same, shield out and digging in.

"They're just stalling us. FORWARD!" Cresiel calls, "Lives count on our alacrity."

"Easy for you to say." Jetina says, then gags, "UGH! Lava tastes horrible."

Moore struggles to get up. "I'll just avoid it next time, it's fine! Just keep pressing forward!" He shouts to the others.
