"That's roughly the plan. I need to give Ranbar time to shake down, wait for Xera to return and handle a few upkeep matters while we have this breather."

"Then good luck," Valar says as...

Anything else here, or onto Xera?

Corwin

I'd actually prefer to get together with Amaryl and Kascha first.

Anastasia

Getting those two together is easy enough and...

Go ahead.

"So here's the thing," Seira tells them as they walk through the Cauldron's central marketplace, located conveniently just a level below the portal hub. Her words are intended only for her two companions, an act backed up by divine will. "I can tell that you're uncertain about some aspects of the future, and I was hoping we could brainstorm together to plot a proper course here."

Anastasia

"Oh?" Kascha asks, "Okay, but what do you mean in particular?"

Amaryl just listens for now.

Seira carefully doesn't roll her eyes. "Amaryl," she says, "I know that you're interested in exerting more influance in Pallanth. And unlike the time I tried to move in there and the Seldarine talked to me about maintaining balance, there won't be any issues with you doing it." She taps her chin thoughtfully. "I recall suggesting taking Fooze under your wing and using him as your representative, though perhaps you are thinking elves would be better for Pallanth? Still, there is no rule against having more than one apprentice."

Turning towards Kascha, Seira says, "As we examine our options here, yours should be getting clearer. And you're a native of that world as well, so you would have an understanding many others here at the Cauldron would lack."

Amaryl walks along as you talk, "That's a good plan, I'll gather likely ones and send them visions. I'd like your help with them, Seira. I let it sit a little time because of the war, but no longer."

Kascha smiles a bit, "It's still hard to believe. But...I could, couldn't I? I could deal in the Lost Eastlands and establish a base there under your name and grow."

"Under our names," Seira corrects Kascha gently. They've formed a pantheon, and while comparing herself to Corellon Larethian will be embarrassing until she acquires more power and influence, that's the relationship they should be imitating. The protector and leader, but not the living personification of the Cauldron. Not if she wants the Cauldron to represent all of them. "It's fine if you start at a spot you are comfortable with and get going. Your own followers will grow organically from what you build with your efforts."

Smiling at Kascha, Seira affirms, "Of course I'll help you with whatever you need." Amaryl, too, gets a warm smile of her own. "Both of you. The War effort is important, but so is continuing to spread our message out there among the mortals and keeping the worst excesses of the planes at bay."

"Our names," Kascha agrees, considering.

"It is," Amaryl seconds, "We'll start when you're ready." She meets your eyes and just looks into them, all the world seeming to narrow down to the two of you.

Seira nods at Amaryl. She'd thought they could look at candidates here, where several travelers and merchants from their Prime often visit, though she can certainly understand how most deities aren't that hands on. If Amaryl is ready, then they can get properly started on the visions.

As Amaryl prepares, "I think you're right, Seira. That's what I need to do," Kascha says at last. It shoudl come naturally to me. Right?"

"You've done it plenty, representing me. Is it really more intimidating than meeting with Ben-Hadar or the Grand Sultan?"

Anastasia

"A little," Kascha admits quietly, "That means it's about me, and I've always tried to be about others, Seira."

"When I promote myself with mortals," Seira muses out loud, "do I focus on my combat prowess? Do I seek out worship out of vanity? This part you would know well, since you worked hard to advance it among mortals while knowing the reasons I pushed for it." She snorts. "I won't deny it feels nice to be looked at with awe and to have your actions be appreciated, but the real reason is that we are inseparable from our ideals, the things we stand for. The change for you is that you, too, now stand for something. Just as I want there to be more hope in Creation, you have a similar desire of your own. So what I'm saying here is that if it's still not very clear to you, start with the familiar because you can't go wrong with having more care, protection and hope for a better future in the world, and your own feelings will guide you from there."
