Okay, you clearly have a plan here. Walk me through this and why you put space compression here? I confess I don't get it at all.

So that everyone else can fire into it and hit them while keeping range. It's mostly for a single round since I don't have any actions left right now, and no one on my side can cover 500ft in a single move that I know of. Next round will likely be Stone Skewers to reduce mobility and then using compression to cover the distance for axe of deathing.

Okay, so you have a point 10ft in front of you. What's the other point that it draws adjacent to?

Whoops, forgot sorry. I say, about 30 fr behind and slightly above the talker.

Two points:

Before you the wall of fog crumbles. 500ft ahead of you is a walled fortress, no obvious way in. It seems hazy, shifting and indistinct. Yet that's hardly what you have time to look at. For ahead the fog thins out entirely, revealing hundreds of them. Winged birds carved of what looks to be solid iron with eyes of glittering gemstones. They hover all about, like a flock about to come low on you. Behind them, just against the wall of the fortress, is a single person.

He is a short half elf, hair frizzy and red. He has a rapier in hand, his other hand empty as he beckons you on. "Ho there," he calls, "Sorry, bank's closed, go home."

As he talks, the walls of the fortress ripple open like spreading smoke. From one hole a great big, black hound emerges, bigger than most horses. It snarls and stares the party down, licking its chops before uttering, "Fools who attack us will suffer the ultimate penalty."

---

First, they're both against the wall of the fortress so that's would mean you'd be aiming into the fortress itself. Two, there were two talkers, did you mean either in particular?

Talking this out since this is the first time this spell has seen play and it's complicated enough that I want to make sure we all get it right.

They're against the wall of the fortress. You could do above, though.

"I find your manner weak and your words curlish," Corryn retorts, shouting over the battlefield. The words carry to Alyssa, suddenly - !

Full.

AGH! You ache all over, as if you were pummeled and beaten, momentarily staggering from Corryn's words. As you recover from that, you hear a loud roar from the party's rear. A roar loud enough to shake everything, akin to a dragon's roar but even more.

"It's BACK!" Emily cries, "Behind us!"

Alyssa sags a bit from the sudden attack, but tries to shake it off.

Speaking a voice low enough to not carry, "Aim just above my axe head. I've warped the space to not far above him. Your spells and strikes will come through there. Jarem, organize against the construct, Ianvasah, back him up if need be. Corryn's sure to be less durable than it, so let's squash him first then readjust."

In that case Ianvasah holds for Jarem so they can go back and deal with that.  Bannoth is up.

Bannoth grows, striding forward. He grows larger and larger, dwarfing all else as he walks. At the same time he howls deeply, a chilling sound that - !!!

Yet nothing happens as Bastian steps to your side, "Need a guard?" he asks plainly.
