I thought it was just fluff, honestly.
The withdrawal action allows you to leave a threatened square without drawing attack. You can move while blinded. So she needs to step back, and then be guided 'step forward' and 'step to the right' and 'no, too much, half a step to the left'. Since we also can all fly she won't even stumble and fall.
