Some instinct, some unknown reason and ability. Marie cries out, a momentary nightmare gone. She aches inside, feeling numb and yet hurting, a feeling of bleeding within, as if the center of her body could feel such a thing.

But Antenora's still there, even if all Marie can feel is emptiness.

Meanwhile Latha stands there, stone still, as she silently cries. Tears fall down her face as she makes not a sound, robotically raising her shield up to defend against the shadows.

Marie can't quite bring herself to sing anymore! She floats listlessly now, arms hanging limp at her sides and head tilted downwards with a dull expression on her face.

"Marie! Latha, snap out of it!" Alicia calls, preparing to try and do something about it herself and hoping that she'll be strong enough.

The battlefield feels darker after that, everything dimmer. There seems to be silence more than anything else, just the distant sounds of war as silently, the maws gather and reform again, more shadows restoring themselves from obliteration.

'Marie, if you don't stop that right now, we're going to spend a MONTH listening to to the Song of the Gears,' Antenora sends quickly.

"Come on you two, get it together!" Alicia urges Marie and Latha, exerting her will not to combat the effect directly but rather to give them another chance at shrugging it off as Alicia and Antenora did.

2 limited wishes quickened to give Marie and Latha a +16 insight bonus on their next saving throw. (half of Alicia's CL, similar formula as say Improvisation). Alter reality used to mimic Mass Resurgence to give them a fresh save against the effect.
