Nephrite

Moore wonders if they simply got trapped and succumbed to the heat.

Take 10 on whatever K check is appropriate here for 107 to identify what this is a skeleton OF.

"Hm, I don't know that a building could survive in a place like this either." Moore says.

Anastasia

Your best guess would be an oversized orc or perhaps a somewhat unusual troll. One of the two barring something unique.

"Not easily," Kaja agrees as he takes it in.

"We need to keep going," Xandra says, "Try and find a living resident."

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

Moore nods. "Let's explore this and see where it leads." He picks any open path to explore — if there are multiple then he will pick one at random!

You head down another passage - and soon, you can hear something. The sound of metal clanging on metal, far ahead.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Odd..." Moore says. They proceed! Now his curiosity is piqued!

Anastasia

"Smith work," Kaja declares, scimitars ready. "I know the sound of hammer and anvil anywhere."

"Intelligent life, a native," Cresiel agrees, "Let us pray he is not hostile."

Moore nods and proceeds. Let's see what they uncover!

Anastasia

Ahead the cavern slopes down and opens up. Another larger cavern - and here a river of volcanic glass bisects the cavern. Several earth elementals are here, a huge anvil of pure, heavy iron laid out. Through magic unknown  blobs of liquid volcanic glass rise from the river and to the anvil, where one of several elementals begins to pound it with a hammer.

From these swords, armor and other things of obsidian are forged. Once finished another elemental carries it aside, great stacks of them in the back of the cavern.

"Well, we wanted denizens." Moore says. "I doubt we'll get much out of them, but..."

He takes a breath and starts to slowly approach the elementals! If he goes slowly enough, perhaps they won't immediately attack him?

Anastasia

Jetina goes at your side, while Cresiel strides ahead of you, Kaja and Xandra behind.

The elementals look up and simply return to work. One, smaller and with a obsidian sword in his arms, simply asks, "What do you want?" His gaze is on Cresiel and bows his head, "Honored solar."

"We're here in search of something." Moore says honestly. "But... I admit, now you've piqued my interest a bit. May I ask what is your purpose here?" He glances over to Cresiel and back to the elemental. "I didn't expect to find anyone friendly with the Heavens here."

Anastasia

"Forging," Is the answer, as others don't stop. A nod to Cresiel, who merely stands vigil. "We've been at it for over a year now. Damn fool of a wizard's probably dead."

Nephrite

"Wait, I'm sorry... were you bound into service by someone?" Moore asks. "...Also, if you don't mind my saying so, you seem to have a much different personality than most elementals I've met."
