"Well, Bastian doesn't really need anything but his hands... The last time I went with only one other person, it didn't turn out so well."

"Scrying is a concern." Emily also adds. "Is there something that can be done to stop that sort of interference?" She frowns faintly, "Anything?"

"I'll talk to him," Latha agrees, "As you consider that, do you need any equipment made?"

"An amulet. One that enhances my natural armor and helps keep me rested and fed?"

[Anastasia]

"I thought...?" Latha glances at Emily.

"It must have not sunken in," Emily says, a small shake of her head. "Alyssa, you died." She says it plainly, "Spirits like us don't need to eat, drink or sleep. We can choose to, but not a requirement. You need need that manner of magic anymore."

Alyssa lets her eyes widen a little, "Ah... Yes. Well... In that case, just the armor, then. Unless anyone has a better suggestion..."

"It's a good start," Jarem says, "How much money do you have to spend on it, Alyssa?" He gives you a thoughtful look, "Actually, item one should be a general enhancer - those matter so much."

Dolmaya considers, "No, get the amulet first. I believe in this case Alyssa's correct."

Alyssa nods to Dolmaya, "My spell casting isn't far off from where it was, and who knows how it'll affect me if I succeed at becoming One."

"Then the amulet," Latha says, "How strong do you want it?"

Uh, since it's NA, as strong as I can with 80k. Which... I think is +5 at 50k? But that's not accounting for Latha's discounts.

Emily will gladly help pay for this as well, Jarem too if need be.

Latha would suggest an amulet +7 for 98000/2=49000 gold. She can make weapons, armor, shields and wondrous items, and that's a wondrous item.

Alright, that's good for the amulet. What else would you suggest? I haven't sat down and gone through books looking for items yet, so I'm open to suggestions. Maybe something that helps with attacks?

Okay, post the expense and how you're splitting the cost up.

"If we're skipping an enhancer," Jarem says thoughtfully, "Can you make one of those ioun stones, the one Bastian uses? It's a dark rose color, he says it makes it easier for him to anticipate attacks that come his way."

"I know those," Latha says, "Several came out of Aurora, though they're not exclusive to it. They're expensive so a seldom used option, but they work well with other defensive means."
