Nephrite

Then he will direct her to Hope's Landing as she is, if she chooses later to do something, then that is her choice as well.

Anastasia

Done. As you set that up you fly inward. This path goes on some ways and as you do? You notice the floor begins to have puddles of clear liquid on it, mere droplets at first but soon expanding into proper pools.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"The Drooling Path." Moore says. "Keep an eye out."

He continues on!

Perception for 97, Spellcraft for 113, K:A and K:P for 118.

Anastasia

"Careful now," Cresiel concurs as you fly on.

The walls.

You notice the walls begin to move, twitch and throb. Regularly, as if flesh that pulses to a heartbeat.

<Afina> Forever.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Yes." Moore says as he gestures towards the walls for their benefit. "Those sacrifices may not have brought it back to life, but I wonder what they did do."

Anastasia

"They did enough. Look," Kaja points at the walls. Clear liquid begins to seep from it rather swiftly, a constant drool that begins to form deeper and deeper pools on the ground. Above, water begins to bead on the roof.

"I'm reminded of those awful blood constructs from the Prison." Moore says. "Come, let's get as far as we can."

They will just keep going forward until they are inevitably attacked by... whatever the drool will turn into!

Anastasia

You proceed on, no end in sight. No sign of creatures - instead, you rapidly notice the water level is rising and water begins to rain from above.

"Ugh, what is it?" Jetina grimaces as the first few droplets fall.

Take 10 on Spellcraft for 113, K:A for 118, in case there's anything magical about the water at all.

"None of us need to breathe, so even if the water rises it doesn't matter." Moore says, but he tries to stay above it regardless as they fly along. "I have to wonder if a spell like Control Water would work here."

Anastasia

The drool is magical. It's highly acidic and unholy, and that will wound even those immune to acid. It's powerful too. You're about to get seriously rained on by evil acid drool.

"Analyze the drool," Sylvie says right away, "We're not as safe as you'd think."

Cresiel puts his shield up and over you immediately, not a single moment of hesitation.

"You're right, it will go through protections against acid." Moore says. "Tch... Sylvie, use a Time Stop. I know what it sounds like, but just trust me."

Anastasia

> roll 1d4+1
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d4+1 --> [ 1d4=2 ]{3}

Abruptly, time stops.

Yet it doesn't. The acid keeps dripping?! It's not stopping even at Sylvie's quick cast of it.

I haven't done a spoiler block yet, that's a morning to do, so note for self that Sylvie used one of her arcane casting time stops.

Nephrite

"Oh, for the love of..." Moore mutters. "Ideas?"

He gestures around them to create a wall of force to box them in so that at least the acid may have to chew through that briefly.

"I can use my Lyre of Building to start making us a tunnel, but I don't know how long it'll last." He says. "We can also just use our protective spells and then rush while healing, which may be our only option here."

Since he can't make a wall of force to hover above them (how I wish), he'll just make one on the ground that rises up and over like a big arch.

Anastasia

"Healing? We can rush," Jetina says confidently, "I don't think I can run out anymore."

"Confident," Sylvie says, "But she's probably right, unless we have a better way."

Kaja grimaces, "Just because we can do it that way doesn't mean we should."

"Well we can't cleave every bit of it..." Moore says as he glances up. "...But we might be able to damage it, but I don't know if it's worth our time to do so. Honestly, with my protective songs I'd be surprised if any of you would get damaged. Something has to be creating it, and it's probably in the walls above us. If we choose to try and stop it, I think that's the way to go. My divine blasts would probably work."
