As near as you can tell - and you can tell pretty well - it's some sort of innate power to him. If he's the First Vampire, it's probably related to that somehow. Dominion over vampires, domination and worse.

Yet your divine will freezes that hand an inch from your throat, at which point it crumbles to dust. The vampire is washed away by the waters, no further attack as a great cheer goes up at your victory.

Can I tell what happened to the soul of the vampire I just killed? Is it going to the well of souls or being grabbed by the soul eater?

Also can I track the power that was just used against me to tell where the first vampire is? I can pop one of my free action divinations from greater foresight to help, I already made a CL check for the spell earlier that beat his defences to get the Blood Castle answer. Obviously I want more than those two words, like knowing what plane he's on would be nice.

The avatar recasts many moments of prescience and adjusts the dimensionally warped space so as to clear a path ahead for everyone while keeping the river flowing to the side of the chamber if needed. "I will see to the destruction of the soul siphon here before calling my work done," she says for the benefit of the Aurora warriors, leading the way ahead towards the blasphemy that incited her presence here.

Remote sensing could work, sure.

It lies ahead. It is a hunger, a twisted altar. It is carved of red stone rather well, above average work to your eye. The top of it has a white cloth that is stained red laid atop it.

Meanwhile, you can see a figure. A beautiful thing. Gorgeous, really. Masculine and looming, long black hair and wearing a loose, open silk shirt and leather pants. He is a paragon of the masculine, muscled and slender, sheer sexual appeal that borders on the obscene.

Then he looks your way, as if to meet your eyes, and smiles.

In that moment you sense an endless ravine, a chasm of hunger that screams out for you. The creature before you does nothing to hide its nature, merely looking on with rapacious, ravenous hunger. It slowly licks its lips, perfect tongue and long, sharp fangs seen as it does.

Her avatar studies the twisted altar while the real Alicia discerns the location she is viewing.

Any tricks to the altar or will unbinding/violence solve its problem?

No tricks, either should suffice, but unbinding would be much cleaner.

Just because she's a lawful deity doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate freedom. Everything in its proper place, and the proper place in this case is free!

And does my remote sensing tell me what plane the first vampire is on while he's being all Draco in Leather Pants at me?

The Abyss. Death's Stare in particular.

Before that the altar melts like snow in the sun, souls freed and coming forth from your liberation. There is a sense of relief from them as this unholy work is done, the affront against you no more.

"It's done, I leave the rest to you heroes of Aurora," Alicia turns to the others, focusing on Nial in particular as the blessing of being her familiar leaves him, returning him to normal. "This could have been your time, Nial. But I would not permit the affront this place prepared for you. Treat every day that comes as a gift."

Nial kneels before you, "I will remember this lesson," he vows.

Death's Stare is said to be a lost layer of the Abyss: 389. The legends don't get into details, but Orcus did something there in a battle against another demon prince - possibly Demogorgon or Pale Night, or maybe Graz'zt. It's said that the dead are as home there as in Thanatos, and that something nothing there ever dies forever, but rises in unholy life.
