Not healed by Latha after all, Marie heals herself before she rushes after her. "That's me!" her illusion says right before the real Marie goes through the portal and the projected image goes slack.

You float in the Silver Sea of the Astral Plane. Latha and Marie are besides you as the portal lets out one last shudder and fails.

"The Astral," Latha says, at the ready, "It does not feel like a falsehood. But how?"

"I expected the ethereal," Alicia admits, looking around.

Your best guess is that something between your interference and whatever Shar was doing caused the portal to throw you out into the Astral. It's a default option for when something goes off with teleportation or portals. Your learned insight suggests it probably only worked because you're a goddess of magic.

As long as it isn't the Far Realm, but that's thankfully a rare fluke.
