Ah well, then we'll have to do some info brokering first.

"We'll need to get a list of his enemies. Let's find Bastian and see if he knows anyone. If not, then we'll have to find a broker in Brightwater."

[Anastasia]

Bastian comes in a few hours later, "Here," he says, passing you a list. "It's fairly comprehensive, though it probably misses a few lesser ones."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Thank you! We found one of Gargauth's holy books in his palace, so there's definitely a connection. I've got a general map of the place, but this will help us get more specific information. We'll likely be getting some fey help, too."

[Anastasia]

"Unholy book," Bastian points out, "Holy books are for the holy." He smiles just a brief moment at that, "Sloppy mistake for someone in charge to make."

[Iron Dragoon]

"He's still a god. They're almost all nonsense anyway. How's your side of this project coming?"

[Anastasia]

"Says the god," Bastian retorts in good humor. "It's coming."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Bah, born as a mortal. In any case, if you need anything, let me know."

Alyssa goes over the list.

[Anastasia]

It first notes that mostly goodly creatures would oppose him, and that unless notable animosity exists, this is assumed and not mentioned.

Gigas Eye

A sect of Umberlants who have a longstanding grudge with Rumza. The details of it involve Rumza's forces looting a shipment of treasure meant to be sunken in a ritual to Umberlee, which the Gigas Eye objected to and things got unpleasant for everyone. It turns out that sect holds a grudge.

The Karami Clan

A group of dao who have had several bad dealings with Rumza. Both groups hate each other and try to sabotage one another. Due to cultural concerns they keep this struggle out of civilized society so it's more of a shadow war.

The Gilded Mask

A dao paladin (!) said to serve an unknown patron. Specializes in solo strikes which shatter the enemy and then his smooth escape. Little is known of him, but he's hit a few of Rumza's operations and has earned his personal enmity. So named because he wears a mask that shows a crying man, made of pure gold.

Entemoch and Sunnis

The good archomentals of Earth have little use for Rumza, and have acted against him before. It's a long lasting feud, but one that sees action perhaps once a millenia according to reports. The impression is that both have bigger priorities so they mostly attack when opportunities present themselves.

Alyssa passes the list to Dolmaya.

"I think our best options are probably The Gilded Mask and the Karami clan... I don't have any contacts with the archomentals, but they'd be good candidates too. Opinion?"

[Anastasia]

Dolmaya scans it, "If we can find the former and he's amenable," she agrees, "But one man is still one man."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Is he, though? A paladin is an instrument of a God."

[Anastasia]

"Yes, but we have many instruments," Dolmaya observes. "Still."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Remember, we're simply trying to pull them in multiple directions. The more snarls we can get on their perimeters, the better."
