Alyssa shakes her head, "As I have seen terrain movement spells before. Xorn Movement, Earth Glide, Etherealness, Ethereal Jaunt, Excavate, and many others. You've told me nothing of this item. For all I know, it could be a simple Xorn Movement enchanted item."

"If such measures were sufficient here," The voice is chillier now, to match the surroundings, "We would not have this conversation."

"To be fair, I didn't test those spells, I just used fire. What circle is the spell in the device? That will help peg an appropriate starting part."

"Hmmm... I don't have any personal spells of that level yet... Is this a standing offer? Since we've been here once, can we return?"

Perhaps, but we've been here once. We know he's got a hide-away here, and we can use my memory spell to examine the place for anything we might be able to track. Either way, we came face to face with the Lord of the Eighth unexpectedly and unprepared and came away unscathed. Newly risen deities are easy game for someone of his rank.
