"Which is?" A question back, "I wouldn't dream of peeking at a goddess. But as I understand it, you align towards chaos?"

"Chaos itself," Emily speaks up, "Though I strive to make her look more towards the righteous ways."

"Chaos and neutrality, yes."

[Anastasia]

"He goes by many names as an agent of chaos," The quarut explains, "It's often easier to call him Frog or Slaad since it's close enough, though he seldom has a form like that. Or she, gender doesn't matter to him, either, and routinely changes."

"What use is he?" Bastian says simply at that, "If he's so disorganized?"

"That part is simple," Chrona 42 declares, "He excels at the elimination of Chaos and random chance that stumbles onto chronomancy, and may be otherwise difficult for us to manage."

Alyssa nods, "Letting the winds of chaos guide you often leads you to the wake of things. It's sort of like an ocean current; the random swirls pull lots of things in, not just you. How do I get in touch with the Agent?"

[Anastasia]

"Simply contact me and I will put you in touch with his vizier," Chrona 42 answers, "Who is much more reliable, being an Inevitable."

Alyssa nods, "Then let us continue."

[Anastasia]

"To cover your responsibilities under the Compact, they are simple. Should you come on a violation of the Temporal Compact, that is the active use of chronomancy by someone who isn't a servant of one of the Keepers of the Compact, that you stop it or alert the Keepers." Chrona 42 says, "As well as respect the ban on chronomancy."

Alyssa nods, "How often do these violations occur?"

[Anastasia]

"Rarely. We take care of most before they happen," Chrona 42 says, a hint of pride in his voice. "But occasionally we miss one or is somehow obscured from our sight. It's simple - the moment you detect chronomancy, alert us. Doubly so if it's one of your worshipers. I know your first instinct will be to protect them -"

"Of course!" Emily slams her hand down, "They look to us and we're supposed to sell them out to you?!"

As if uninterrupted, "-but this means that at worst, they die and pass onto you. Otherwise whomever finds it may be far more destructive, and if they believe you're complicit in a violation or find evidence of that? You will have vastly more trouble than it's worth."

Bastian scowls a bit, "In other words, make sure they get a penalty we can both live with, because the alternative may be worse."

"It's distasteful," Chrona 42 admits, "But it's to eliminate any chance of games and temptations being played. We all know that if loopholes and niches exist, abuses will follow, and that threatens the entire Temporal Compact. No one wants to go back to the way things were before. No one wins."

"Which puts more pressure on us to stomp it out if we find any signs of it in our faithful," Bastian goes on, "Make us uphold it ourselves so that ours aren't a problem in the first place."

Alyssa looks at the others flatly, "Or you could nip it in the bud ahead of time and give your followers guidance away from it."

[Anastasia]

"That is the ultimate idea," Chrona 42 agrees, "If you see one peeking in those directions, a gentle nudge away can save us all a great deal of trouble."

[Iron Dragoon]

"I will do so, but.. Understand that I'm a researcher. I won't stop them from gathering information, but I will restrict how they use it and access it. If some of my followers are strongly talented in it and cannot be dissuaded from it, is there a possibility of introducing them to an appropriate Agent for recruitment? This would allow them to develop their talents while under watch of the Agents, and working towards the protection of the compact simultaneously."

[Anastasia]

"Highly unlikely. You have to understand that if not prevented and it has to be dealt with, the most likely fate is execution," Chrona 42 says, not unkingly. Simple and plain instead, "Understand that even then however, few will get that far as they will be nudged and manipulated away through temporal meddling if we must."

Alyssa nods, "Alright. I'll work with it."

[Anastasia]
