In order to promote a more lively community atmosphere here, Soulriders has established a permanent IRC chatroom.  A place you guys can meet and chat with all your friends in real time.

The chatroom is held on the "irc.nabiki.com" server, port 6667.  The name of the chatroom is #Soulriders.

In order to access #soulriders you will need an IRC client.  We will walk you through the procedure of setting up on several irc clients.

mIRC: This is the basic IRC client.  It can do pretty much everything you need and has a fairly good help file.  In order to access #soulriders with it, download the mirc program from their website and install it on your computer.  Run the program and it will bring up an options window.  Click on the "Add" button in order to add a new server to the list.  For the description write in "Nabiki IRC client" (or whatever you want it described as), then type "irc.nabiki.com" into the IRC server box and "6667"  as the port.  Finally click okay.  On the second drag down window (right under IRC servers) Select the irc server you just designated (It will be listed by the description you type in).  Finally type in a nickname and click okay.  If it doesn't automatically connect you to channelserver, just click the little lightning bolt right under the 'file' menu.  Once you are connected to the irc.nabiki.com server, type in "/join #soulriders" and you will be taken directly to the chatroom.  Afterwards all you will have to do is start up Mirc, click okay/connect to log on to irc.nabiki.com and then type /join #soulriders to get into the chatroom.

Trillian: Okay just click through all the start up stuff, oping in any other chat proggies you want, until the nice trellain screenname list (potentially blank) pops up.  click on the large sphere at the bottom left of the window to open the options, go to connection->Connection manager.  Under pick medium select IRC.  Fill in under server name: "irc.nabiki.com", port: "6667".  Fill out the other self explanatory information, save, and add (both of those are buttons).  Click connect, and it will create an irc server button.  Go click on the little blue swirl, select the irc server you just typed in, and select Join Channel.  Type in #soulriders and you'll be there.

There are other ones, but none of us have Macs so you're on your own... and anyone on a Unix or Linux box should be able to figure it out for yourselves.  ^^
