Amazingly it works - the two return without incident, "It's done," Sylvie responds, "We have them safely held there. Jetina and Kaja will make sure they can't escape. A sealed room of solid steel feet thick with the astral links severed and a ward to stop means to slip through solid steel like a ghost will keep them there as long as we need."

[Nephrite]

"Any idea who their master is? I imagine we'll be hearing from them shortly either way." Moore says. "But let's see what exactly it was that they did here - I don't know where those other two ended up, but I imagine we'll also come across them in due time."

Moore will try and see if he can get any information from the room they're in currently.

'Didn't take the time,' Sylvie says laconically in your mind, 'Jetina might be able to tease it out, but she's not good at that sort of magic.'

"Hm." Moore shrugs. "We'll have to figure that out - we've never had the opportunity to have captives before, so I don't know what spells exist to get information out of people... well, we can worry about it when we get back."

For now they will just explore the area around them and check the various prison cells - it seemed like some people should've been taken out and possibly executed, so let's see what's different from the last time we were here.

You go in. At least at first, you see every cell is empty, as if no one was ever in them.

"They must've just killed them. But why?" He asks. "Maybe we can find out from them."

'They said something about Death, didn't they?' Xandra states, 'On that paper they pianned to the door?'

[Nephrite]

'Yes, it seems like it's something their master seems interested in.' Moore says. 'We'll understand it once we get the information out of them... ... but I wonder about something... we'll have to see it for ourselves, but if someone in here dies, where does their soul go?'

[Anastasia]

'A good question,' Cresiel agrees, 'There may be some soul repository deeper within, hidden.'

'Or it simply reincarnates or reforms their bodies,' Xandra speculates, 'We can't rightly say.'

[Nephrite]

'It doesn't feel like the Guardian would've left a loophole to allow people out.' Moore says as they proceed along - intending to go until he finds someone in a cage again. 'So if that's the case, I wonder if the people who died here are still here. You're right that there may be some function of this place deeper in...'

A pause before he continues. 'I didn't intend to go on a deep sojourn here, but it may bear a deeper investigation, especially since it seems like the wardens of this place are no longer active.'

[Anastasia]

'Something's happened,' Sylvie agrees as you walk.
