Iron Dragoon

Alyssa sends to the others, 'Looks to be a large gathering. We can possibly set up some traps since it's confined space. Once the attack on the tower starts, we know where they're going to go. It chances being set off early and possibly revealing ourselves, however.'

'We'll have to deal with them on the way out,' Bastian agrees, 'What sort of traps, Alyssa?'

'Explosive Runes, primarily. It would be easy to collapse this whole section when placed correctly.'

'Do it,' Honeydip agrees quickly, 'Just be fast about it.'

Alyssa nods and uses Xorn Movement and Tremorsense to dive back into the stone, moving around the cavern and lacing it with runes in specific places.

BTW, these go off when read. What counts as "read?" Can I, for example, use Prying Eyes to set them off remotely? Or Scrying?

Getting close and reading them. That being said, you have alter reality and spell levels to play with, so something a little looser is entirely possible. I assume you're using some of that to get around the 10 pound weight limit for things inscribed with them.

Iron Dragoon

Yeah. The goal would be to have something I can remotely trigger. Maybe some sort of telepathic trigger?

Anastasia

That's a bit of a stretch but you have the spell levels to play with, so sure.

Alrighty, I'll do that then. If you like, we can swap it being scryed. That's more in line with reading it.

Works for me. Anything else to add to them?

Onward. You go forward. After some tight and twisting tunnels where the winds howl without pause, you come a vast open space, with a ceiling dozens of stories high. The sound of chanting comes from within it, and what's more, you can see a tower in the distance of it.

Alyssa points it out, 'We're close. Let's get this done.'

Alyssa looks for a place close to the tower with cover to deploy the lizards from.
