Alyssa nods, "Thank you. If you can get his cooperation, I want to use my memory spell to view both fights. Once we have access to that, we can study it as much as we want to figure out as many counters as we can.

Tell me, has The Red Knight ever had run-ins with either of them?"

"Not that I know of," Jarem answers directly, "But I'll ask while I'm over there. She may not have, but it's possible one of hers has."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "I was hoping to ask her to review the memories with us. Her mastery of tactics and strategies outstrips ours."

[Anastasia]

"I'll see if she's willing," Is Jarem's answer, "Knowing the devils, there may be pacts or agreements involved."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods.

[Anastasia]

With that Jarem turns and goes.

Emily looks to you after, "And what about me, Alyssa?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Since you're a paladin, I was wondering if you thought about working with your smiting and making it... specialized. Like combining it with a type of Bane."

[Anastasia]

"How so?" Emily asks, a curious look, "Like a bane weapon?"

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "Smite is pure holy energy that attacks the nature of evil. I was wondering if it could be added to to strike at a specific creature type as well."

[Anastasia]

"I've never heard of anyone who did that directly," Emily says in some thought, fingers to her chin. "Usually an enchanted weapon provides that, not the smite itself."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Do you think it could work? Could it rebound off of each other and push each one higher?"

[Anastasia]

"I...hm." Emily says, "Maybe. I'd want to talk to...hm." A soft murmur, "Let me talk to my Mom as well as a few others. Antenora might know, or perhaps Syala or Jetina."

[Iron Dragoon]

"It could be a solid trump card if it works."

[Anastasia]

"If," Emily says, "At the least it would help."

So when I poke at this mechanically, is this what it appears to me or did you have anything else in mind?

I didn't have anything super specific in mind, but if you have both smite and bane on a weapon, you do extra damage. So the idea I had was to make a Smite version of Hellfire, basically.
