Walk me through that again?

You want a paladin to use hellfire on a smite?

No, I want a paladin to use Bane on smite to make the holy counter to Hellfire.

[Anastasia]

Okay.

As Emily tinkers with that idea, Jarem returns. "Good news or bad news," he says after several hours away.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Both, likely."

[Anastasia]

"Both," Jarem agrees, "Bad news is that he wasn't available. Good news is that I found a few others who faced Rathguul before."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Excellent, more data sources make the assessment that much better."

[Anastasia]

"Yeah. The hellfire's a big problem. It hits incredibly hard and it doesn't hit just one. It hits everyone in a large area. Oh, and it withers the willpower of those it hits. Steals it right away." Jarem smiles tightly, "It gets worse. Not only can the bastard teleport at will, but when it teleports it leaves behind a fireball that burns anyone that was around it."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "The teleporting tactic is something I've seen in my studies before. Have any of the others you found agreed to the memory spell?"

[Anastasia]

"Yes, I talked them into it," Jarem says, "You can inspect the memories of the battle yourself."

So, something to clarify about the memory spell; the spell description states:
When you cast this spell, you are able to relive your past or the past of a touched creature. An unwilling creature requires a successful melee touch attack and is allowed a Will save to negate.

This spell allows you to relive up to one hour per caster level of the target's life. This may be any time you see fit, but must be one unbroken block of time. You may also share this spell with up to one creature per four caster levels, all creatures affected must within 30ft of you. Those who relive the past do so instantly, experiencing everything the target did in all of the target's senses (including senses those who relive the past do not normally possess). For all purposes, it is as if the creatures lived the experiences themselves.

While the memories are completely lifelike, those who relive the past do not suffer any ill effects from it (except for any trauma the memories would cause naturally, such as viewing the memories of a creature being tortured).

Now, does this mean that I can go to them, view the memories I want, and then project/show them to the others, or do we all have to be there when I cast it? Or can I replay the memories for the others using an illusion spell?

Either way. You can paper the holes over with uses of alter reality anyway so it's not terribly important.

[Iron Dragoon]

Gotcha. Let's continue on then, I just wanted to be clear.

Alyssa nods to Jarem, "Excellent. We can go whenever you feel appropriate, then. How many did you find?"

[Anastasia]

"Three," Jarem confirms, "Whenever you're ready to."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Better sooner than later. Let's go."

[Anastasia]

Three warriors, all men and old. They each wear simple clothes as they wait - one bearded, one clean shaven and a third a luminous creature with no neck. They await you in a quiet classroom not currently in use.

"Here," Jarem glances over at you, "All three of them."
