"Not happy to hear that, but I just wanted to be clear whether we should expect someone to die anytime soon. Not that it's not possible with all the weird crap that's been going on, but it sounds like that's something we'll have to get used to one way or the other."

Tim ponders for a moment. "Is it possible that whoever did that might NOT be on Earth and still alive? Where would they be?"

"Yeah, lots of people have died," Daniel snorts. "But I guess that's some of it. Some guy sacrificed himself to kick this off, then the cosmos picks us and works to bring us together so we can save the world from the Elder Gods?"

Carthrat

"Sounds excellent," mutters Tom. "So if this person is alive, but not on Earth, he's likely somewhere inaccessible to us.

And if he's dead, he's also inaccessible to us. Yeah. Any ideas on where he is and how to get to him? If it's even possible?"

Kyle just shakes his head.  "I think there are far more immediate concerns," he says before lapsing into silence.

"Well," Sterling mutters.  "That was educational."

"Yeah. Finding someplace to stay is one of them," Tim concurs. "After our trip to Arizona, anyway. I just hope things aren't this crazy there."

"Normally I'd say 'Like anything exciting could happen in Arizona,' but considering what just happened in the middle of nowhere in Mexico, I think it's fair to assume trouble will find us no matter what. Just a pity there's bugger all we can do except be careful and alert," Daniel notes.

Brian

"Yeah," Jim groans, nodding at Daniel.  "It sounds like Kyle's implying we get to look forward to this for a while," Jim says quietly, one hand still resting on the upper portion of his ribcage.

"Maybe, and maybe not," Kyle says, shaking his head.  "Remember.  Part of this is drawing you to allies.  So if you do deal with this, you'll have more support."

Sterling ponders, and rubs his chin.  "Well, actually, that makes it sound not nearly as bad," he admits.  "I mean, I think having you guys onboard certainly helped.  So, more allies, eh?"

Kyle nods.

"I guess my danger sense helps, even if we do wind up just using it to direct us to trouble instead of away from it," Daniel nods slowly. "But if we can find a few more superpowered allies along the way..." he shrugs, "Hell, before I knew about any of this, I'd have considered a group with abilities like this a force to be reckoned with."

Halbarad

"I'm just glad I was able to do something besides get myself killed today," Tim says with a sigh. "My 'power' seems like it's fairly useless to us, at least for now. Information is nice, but it's not going to keep us alive in a tight situation, since I can't exactly take a nap in the middle of a fight. But I'll do what I can to help, regardless. Planning is at least something I'm good at, or I'd like to think so."

"Good, you can cover for me," quips Tom. "Then again, it's not like we've had much information to work with so far. It's all been on the spot and go-go-go.

Oh well. This will be an excellent point in my life to test the theory that you can get used to anything. I think I'm already halfway there."

Carlos nods.  "We can get used to anything," he agrees.

Walker shakes his head.  "All I can say is I like the sound of having more people with us," he mutters.  "We've been in this alone for way too long."

"No sense worry about things," David decides.  "We should rest, so that if things turn bad in Arizona, we'll at least be ready for it."

"Yeah, that's right," nods Tom. "If things don't start happening before we leave, of course. Maybe an extra person on watch tonight? With things speeding up like this... well, you know."

He makes a weird gesture, then shakes his head. "Um, yeah."

"I'd think one would be enough. Two people aren't going to get the rest of us up any faster, and the more rested we are when we get to Arizona the better."

He sighs. "That said, I'll take the first lookout. I didn't do much today, so I'll take my share by watching while you guys take some R&R. You look like you could use some rest." Tim particularly looks towards Jim and Sterling as he speaks.

"I'll take second watch, then," Daniel offers. "Just wake me when you get tired."

Carthrat

"Didn't do much.. eh, killing an ogre was always 'lots' in my book," chuckles Tom. "Have fun with that, then."
