Man ... Deathworld was really fascinating, despite what you might expect from the title.  I remember those books....

Edit: Arg.  Woke up with a migraine.  Went back to sleep to try and shake it off.  Woke up later with the same migraine.

Even the dream about driving the unrealistically cool motorcycle/car thing and protecting Earth from alien invasion doesn't quite offset the ouch. x_x

Ugh.  Crawled into work far too early.  Time to quit coffee for two weeks again, I think.  Gotta clean the system every so often. x_x

Four sessions before collapse.  I guess that's not too bad.  It was bi-weekly, which was kind of a strain, but things seemed to mostly be going okay.  And then....

At the end of last session (last Sunday), Drac announces he'll be missing the next session because he's got something planned.  Gate's already left, but the remaining players all discuss options and we talk about sliding the game back a week.  Everyone agrees that if it works for Gate, it works for them.

Send out a scheduling e-mail to let everyone know what's up today.

"Oh, I didn't know that.  I scheduled classes for what would be the new game dates.  Can't make it."

"Why did we make this change?  I  can't make that schedule!"

Honestly, people!  We had a discussion about this!  I hate to sound elitist, but the hazards of working with folks who don't have to abide by corporate calenders and all the restrictions they impose ... with less awareness of how much time they have and when they need to schedule things ... it seems some of my friends just cannot schedule anything for crap.


So the game is on hiatus until January because I don't want to fight holiday scheduling considering how many issues can be cooked up over something as seemingly inconsequential as this.


And once again I am in no games.  I have to think the problem is with me.

Silver lining:  More time to work on fanfics.

Gagh, irony. Just ran into the exact same problem of trying to schedule a meetup with some people who apparently don't comprehend the concept of 9 to 5 ;_;
