Why would anyone ever want a professional Ko? An untrained Ko is just as good and cheaper to boot.

Personal record: searching the codebase for a JDBC connection statement and finding a Java class more than 15,000 lines long.

The interface it implements is itself more than 1,300 lines.

Why.

You know, I never particularly though any variation of Windows cron service was particularly great...

but man would I stab someone to get it over launchd and macports wrapping.  "Okay it failed to start.  Can I get an error code?  Maybe the log?  Perhaps something that could be run on the command line to see it?  No, we have it wrapped in a package that is wrapped in a package and it turns out its not running long enough to write startup stuff to the error log."

Bleh.  *Goes back to seeing why php-fpm suddenly won't start*
Well, Goodbye.

*handholds a group of senior engineers through the notion of listing out high level deliverables*

"So you want X built and deployed to server Y?  Okay, write that down, that's one deliverable.  And server Z separately?  Write that down, that's another."

Well, Goodbye.

My one good eye continues to go downhill. Bleh.

... Totally unrelated to Ko's line but...well, it's been my morning:

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
Well, Goodbye.

Don't wanna go to work. Sometimes it's nice to have such a simple, routine reason to bitch. It may suck, but it's the sort of suck that isn't the end of the world.

Dracos: Had a discussion on 'how to have working dns' which shows the level of amateur hour
Hat:   ...seriously?
Dracos: I need not imagine anything, I live in comedy land.
Well, Goodbye.

I have my PE exam tomorrow.

Having that last minute panic where you know you've done everything you can and still think everything that can go wrong will.

It doesn't help that I did a practice exam and kept making stupid nervous mistakes (and of course, they result in answers in the multiple choice list because why the heck not).

Halloween headaches. Ick.

Also, holidays are so much more fun as a kid. Adulthood sorta sucks like that.

I blame the media for sucking the joy out of halloween.

All the horror stories about razor apples and all that nonsense. Halloween felt more like a community thing when I was a kid, nowadays it doesn't, and all I can remember is that as I grew up and it felt less and less fun I kept hearing all these stories that made parents worried about things that never really happened or were really isolated events. Might not necessarily be linked, but it certainly felt like it growing up.

Yeah, that is true. Fair point, Halloween seems more...detached now. Regulated.
