It's uh...

Hell. It's not really Ranma, but the author is a good writer who gets you interested in the characters. He has that knack, you know? It's sort of like Ranma as a shojo series, less fighting and more feelings. There's certainly flaws that muddle the quality of the story. Ranma doesn't quite feel like Ranma, there's not much action and Doc Tofu got a serious upgrade.

On the other hand it makes you keep reading. I cared about Ranma, Akane(Somehow, I normally loathe her), Nabiki and Kasumi. It shows them all in a favorable light, building up to the climax. Also, the idea of Ranma having a loyal dog as a companion and ward to keep cats away makes a hell of a lot of sense. It makes so much sense that you wonder why Ranma never did it in the first place. (Hint: Ranma.)

Warning: Ranma starts to become a real girl fic.If the shojo didn't tip you off, this should. I think I've had my fill of those for awhile.

1. Re-reading Ranma fanfics has reminded me of a salient fact. I don't like Akane and I don't like her with Ranma.

2. I don't like her made into a PMSing superbitch, either. At least treat her sorta human or have her offscreen.

You can guess how this can lead to problems.

Not so much with the reading, these days.  More with the writing; I've been reading a bit of Haruhi fanfiction, and I have a soft spot for Ranma fiction, still (for some reason)....
