Dracos

Cosgrove moves back a touch further, keeping an eye on it for now, having no desire to be seared or near some exploding device.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

The thing looks like it's opening out, almost blossoming like a flower.

Well, except for the smoke, heat, and sound of hydraulics. With a heavy 'clunk', the thing goes completely still and silent.

Dracos

Cosgrove tried to make out through the rain and steam what it was revealing with it opening, cursing whatever idiotic science crew dropped off their latest mad experiment in the middle of the woods.

And the fact that standing out here in the rain was probably going to give him a cold, even with some cover.  Damn scientists.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

It's pretty hard to tell, because of the angle Cosgrove is in. However, it looks to be a vauge lump, 5-6 feet long. A little curvy, here and there. More like a body than a thing, really.

Cosgrove waited for the steam to clear a bit.  Shouldn't take too long with the heavy rainfall.

He also moved in a little as it cooled, trying to get a better view of whatever it was that woke him up.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

The steam doesn't take long to dissapate, though the rain is still coming down strong, and it's still quite dark.

Nonetheless, Cosgrove can get a better look, and the figure he sees is almost certainly a person. Judging by it's looks, it's probably a woman- though there's something just not right about it's head. ]

A prickly feeling stirs up the hairs on Cosgrove's neck, and he thinks that, over the constant pitter-patter of the rain, he hears a low-pitched humming, coming somewhere from the south.

Dracos

Trusting his instincts for a second, Cosgrove quickly moved to have a tree between him and south, figuring good solid wood covering is better than none if something weird is headed his way.

Again.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

Over the next few minutes, the rain starts to die down.

The humming gets slowly louder and louder until a small, metallic-looking robot-thing appears. It looks sort of like those automated floor cleaners you see in malls these days.

Not that Cosgrove would really have much of an idea.

It has a lens in one side, and Cosgrove is made aware of a frequently clicking sound- like a camera. It's points at the tent, at the metallic shell, and approaches the shell, presumably to get a better look at the thing inside.

Dracos

Cosgrove remained quiet, staying out of the way for the moment and listening, not having any real interest in getting involved in weird alien bullshit from planet B.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

After taking a few more clicks, the robot scuttles off, having, apparently, done its duty.

The rain is down to a light shower, now, which means that Cosgrove can hear very rapid breathing coming from the figure in the capsule.

Dracos

Cosgrove...remains out of view for the moment.  Not entirely sure satisifying his curiousity is worth more than hightailing it and forgetting the whole thing over a good brandy.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

After a couple more minutes, the rain completely stops. The figure in the capsule is making loud coughing and sneezing sounds. Doesn't sound too healthy at all, really.
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Dracos

Ah hell.

Cosgrove moved around to get a better view of just who had crashed his sleeping area, mentally trying to recall if there were any doctors in these parts that he could drop this disaster off at and be on his way.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

The nearby town should have a doctor, and at any rate, it'll almost certainly have transport to a city, armed with a hospital.

It looks like a human, in that it's got two arms, two legs, a torso, and a head. It's clad in an alarmingly revealing.. latex? Nylon? PVC? that manages to covers the stomach, pelvis, and legs, but only just enough of the chest area to not get her arrested for indeceny.

The most disturbing aspect is probably her head, however. It's got a pair of horns in it, and while they're only a couple of inches jutting out her forehead, they look sharp. He skin is also extremely pale, and she has purple hair of indetermite length, because it's all tucked underneath her.

Cosgrove blinked.

Then he reached into his pack and grabbed a drink, taking a swig and putting it away.

Then he rubbed his eyes some.

Given that the whole horns thing didn't vanish, he poked her gently.  "Hey, you awake?"

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.
