Square Enix added it to it's official release list a couple of months ago silently.  Yoichi Wada has indicated an explicit desire to use it as a flagship to bring Dragon Quest back to the US, building momentum for future Dragon Quest products here.

Which is ok, since it gives me more time to study (and have a higher score).
