The year, 2525...

The future.  Man has gone to the stars and traveled across the galaxies.  Races have been discovered.  Battles and wars, fought.  Evolution has taken its course, for better or worse and the mighty starfaring empire travels across the cosmos.

It is a time much akin to the tales of science fiction told to us in the late 1900s.  A place of laser firing ships, positron shield arrays...

And aliens in the fashion of animes, much to the delight of the geeks.

Even so, crime continues to exist in this futurisitic society.  And with the advance of crime, so has the advance of the defenses of civilized man.  The intergalatic police are the best and brightest.  Utilizing their mighty Zi computer systems, they are able to react to crimes before they happen.  Peace rules by large throughout the society.

We now bring you to the Extricza star system.  A common stopping port in intergalatic travel.  Home of vast resorts on it's tropical planet, Skuld-8.  It is also home to the fourteenth branch of the Intergalatic Zengari Bank.

Which, in the next five days, is going to be robbed.

According to the Zi systems anyways, and those are never wrong.  You are one of a small elite squad of officiers called in and shipped to that system.  You will have five days to find the criminals and stop them from robbing the bank without scaring the important tourist industry that lives on the planet.

This is the sister game to brian's heist game.  It'll be playing off a single scenario, protecting the bank.  Anime characters are allowed.  It will be in the free-form style that I prefer.  Newbie players are welcome and I'll be glad to help you out.

The idea is it won't be too intense.  The idea is more a short fun scene for folks who don't have a ton of time to spend or want to brush up on their skills in a short game that should be pretty stable.

Interested?  Post interest.  I intend to get this started in about a week.

Well, Goodbye.

<Dracos> These might well be the slowest game recruits I've yet done...blah...blah...And I'm oddly having to even point folks towards the sister game to brian's bank heist.

Hey, I'd said I had interest in the game a day or two back, you know. =p
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.

Dracos

Yeah, you're good, Merc.  And obviously have your spot =)

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Ragnar

If it won't take much time per day, (as in, one post per day,) then I'd be interested as a "noobie."

How long d'you think this'll run?

baka

I'm interested. Any particular yays/nays about characters?

Dracos

We'll see. =)  If it would fit into the Tenchi Galatic police, then it's probably fine. =P

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Dracos

Ragnar:

I'm thinking a little faster than that, but we'll see.  Anyhow, this is planned for a month really.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Dracos

This starts saturday with all hopefulness.

Any remaining interest, post now or hold your peace.

Folks, I need character sheets.  Concept, physical description, whatnot.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Dracos

Or better yet:

Every one of you contact me by aim or irc.  As soon as possible. =)

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Ragnar

Eh.

I'll be completely free for two weeks starting Sat., but after that I'll be back to work again. Sorry, but I'm afraid more than one post a day is probably beyond my capabilities.

[Approved] Character Sheet

Emil Remmus
-----------------
Sex: Male
DOB: May 08, 2493
Age: 32

Emil's a fairly well looking human for a man his age. His wavy hair is loose and just past his shoulder in lenght, with a light greenish-blue shade (It's actually dyed, his original hair color being yellow, but he tired of blonde jokes. Seems even in the future, blonde jokes never really go away). His hair also sports short bangs that aren't even close to long enough to get in the way of his violet eyes. When really tense and serious, he'll occassionally wrap a rubberband around his hair, forming a short ponytail.

He's about 6'7" with an athletic build and long legs, and usually wears an unbuttoned dark blue vest (which also covers his neck) over a white shirt with elbow-lenght sleeves. Standard wear brown jeans cover his lower half, with a belt and boots with running spikes.

The belt has a weapon pouch on the left side that holds an RZG 79M. The Rainishinshi Zero Grade [RZG] 79M is a firearm designed to fire shock pulses capable of temporarily incapacitating a target. It can fire 10 pulses before needing to recharge (10 hour for a full recharge). The RGZ 79M also has the special feature that previous RGZs have not where it can slide in bullet catridges for emergency cases. Emil tends not to carry more than one catridge with him though.

Though he was born on Earth, he's never really known the planet. Left the planet when he was two with his parents and been drifting from place to place his whole life. Fact of the matter, he's never stayed in any one place for more than four years, and that four year period he didn't have much choice in the matter, considering it was academy training for his officer career.

His habit of drifting has stuck with him though, and the moment he graduated, he started on a long string of jobs, jumping from one sector to another, with the only reason he earned promotions being his track record.

Emil's best features are his speed and marksmanship. He's certainly no tracker, but anyone would have a challenge getting away once his eyes lock on to them, and an even greater challenge unscathed (or rather, unshocked). He never did well on the more intellectual parts of officer training though, and he leaves that part of the work to his coworkers. He's more interested in making the rounds and keeping an eye out for suspicious people than waiting in a box locked away looking at cameras anyhow.

His spaceship piloting, while decent, is something he prefers to leave to others if possible, much like the intellectual parts.

It should be noted that even though he's a drifter, he's hardly a lone wolf. He enjoys talking with people, and has developed something of a smart-aleck attitude and wit from his usual hangouts at social bars. He doesn't bother to really get to know the people he talks with though, just getting some good laughs in and occassionally trying to charm a beautiful woman into his company for the night. But really, what's the point in bothering when you're just going to lose contact with them once you start drifting through the stars again?
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.
