Dracos

The influence behind this poem should be clear to any who have ever played Xenogears.  It was written when I was in a particularly just out of it state.  It's disjointed, intentionally.  Hopefully I captured the dream.

He Who is Torn Apart
by  Dracos

Marching across the sands of time,
One man traveled, not alone, never that.
He stood first a child, scared before the star.
Then he dared to dream.

And unto thou was given....

Silence follows, cold and gray; a bitter knife.
It slices into his heart, betrayed by friend and kin.
It finds his weakness, his dream and hope.
His mother star slain.

The power of Eternity.

A young man did cry, his art remained,
But that was all to remember him by.
Dead was love. Dead was friendship.
He would live forever.

Dream what you will...

Two shards did meet, in artic cold.
One a young man who dared to hope.
One an ancient who dared to live.
Deus est morte.

Child of God.

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.
