Please Wake Me Up

"We can glue some desk fans to it?" replies Tom, lamely. "Maybe a paper windmill?"

[Halbarad]

"Yeah, but what WOULD? I mean, I'm no stranger to building stuff, but what exactly are we looking for? Something artistic with lots of windchimes or what?"

[Bjorn]

Bjorn sighs, and then shrugs.  "Well," he says philosophically, "having met his dad, I'm guessing that we can't go wrong with something in the outdoors style.  We'll find a nice sort of place, set up some monoliths or something, and then a nice classy sort of combination altar/dresser, I figure."

[Halbarad]

"Outdoorsy is good, but no furniture outside. Unless he LIKES wet clothes. Maybe he does, if he's into weather." Tim shrugs.

[Bjorn]

"A waterproof chest, or something, then.  Maybe a tarp for a an altar cloth?"

[Carthrat]

"Well, ok, we can make something up involving... monoliths," comments Tom, shrugging. "Do you have a pile of materials to use lying around somewhere? A huge slab of obsidian or marble?"

[Bjorn]

"There's a mine over that away," Bjorn points out.

[Carthrat]

"Oh. Has it been pre-mined or will we need to put on our spelunking caps?"

[Bjorn]

This seems to elicit Bjorn's interest.  "You have a spelunking cap?"

[Carthrat]

"Give me a helmet, some duct-tape, and a maglite, and I will give you a spelunking cap!" replies Tom, shrugging.

[Bjorn]

"So you don't."

[Carthrat]

"Not as such, no."

[Bjorn]

"Pity."

[Carthrat]

"Yeah. You never know when you'll need a good spelunking cap," deadpans Tom. "Except for possibly now."

While this discussion is taking place, the guy in the jeep and Bart drive off in the jeep and the stationwagon respectively.  Lazarus mentioned something about a trip to town ... that must be it.
