Part 3: The City of Crime

[Olvelsper]

"Those weren't normal wolves at all. I think they might be after this." Jan pulled out the crystal from his pack. "When I first found it in that main house, they went nuts and tore out of the pit. On top of that, they mostly went after me."

[Shukuen]

Leets leaned to get a closer look at the object. "You say they were after this thing?" he asked dubiously. "Doesn't look like anything special."

[Olvelsper]

"Well, it has a box inside of it. Maybe something inside the box was the reason there was that massacre in the first place. Must be pretty valuable."

[Shukuen]

"Have you tried opening it yet?"

[Olvelsper]

"Crystal is covering it completely. Doesn't look like there's any hinges or anything like that where I could open it. And it just seems...weird to try and use brute force on it. Like I shouldn't try it." Jan passed the crystal over to Leets for inspection, pausing a second.

"Be careful, it's really cold to the touch." He passed it over with that warning.

[Shukuen]

Leets nodded, warily taking the crystal into his hands to inspect closely.

[Dracos]

The crystal is wrapped around a purple box, sealing it within.  It sort of cold to the touch.  But not too bad.

Dracos

[Olvelsper]

"It's like it's frozen inside of it. The cavern I found it in was sort of like this too. Eerily frozen."

[Dexie Oblivion]

Darx hums, staring at the crystal.

"Cavern? What cavern?"

[Olvelsper]

"There was a cavern underneath a town on the way here. Got access to it from a storage closet of all things."

[Shukuen]

"It certainly doesn't feel like ice though," Leets frowned, almost tempted to think of it as a normal lock that he could break. He could almost feel the familiar tingle racing across his skin.

[Dexie Oblivion]

"Hum, interesting." And with that, the Alunite closed his eyes in thought.

[Dracos]

Well, it wasn't a lock, so it didn't break.  The electricity fading away in it.

[Shukuen]

Leets returned the crystal to Jan as soon as the tingling stopped. "By the way, where are the docks at?" he asked, remembering their earlier predicament.

[Olvelsper]

"Hang a right three streets over, then go down a block."
