A bunch of things have updated in the last couple of days.

Shinji and The Doctor updated. It has been a while, and it's not a very long chapter by any stretch, but still.

Spoiler: ShowHide
Asuka arrives with literally no introduction, which is kind of weird unless the author is planning to cover it later.

Miracle of Zero also got a new chapter.

Spoiler: ShowHide
There's a show trial, but hardly more than that. Everyone get's off scott free, for the moment at least. And, war's a comin'. Not really surprising.

And finally, Savior of Demons also got a new chapter, just today. Haven't actually read it yet.

I'm not familiar with Harry Potter, but how do you fuse the Nasuverse to that? A lot of the Nasuverse's underlying mechanics don't fit with other worlds at all. Not without a hell of a lot of fudging on both sides.

With lots of fudging!

Basically the changes are on the magi side. In default Nasuverse they long ago committed themselves to seeking knowledge of the root of magic or stuff like that. In this story they committed themselves to improving their quality of life, hence wands and all the wacky stuff HP magic brings with it (it doesn't come up in the story but the author mentions in this world while Rin's inheriting her family crest, Sakura is quite happily carrying on as a magical Tohsaka using a wand).

The Church and Burial Squads and such still exist, but the Clock Tower is superseded by Magical Britain as a whole (as well as other magical countries elsewhere). Also while we haven't seen any vampires yet, the werewolves known in HP have gotten a boost in physical power to bring them up to par with Dead Ancestors.

As for the Grail War itself, it's the first one known to have ever happened, and it just sprung up rather than being built by the three families (none of them are represented as Masters). Probably Zeltrech's fault.

Bringer of Death has updated once more.

Spoiler: ShowHide
Unless the author is lying about it, Cell is now permanently, fully, inescapably, insurmountably annihilated. With no possible way of coming back. Now it's time for the otherworld tournament.

Anastasia

[spoiler]He had that one coming. I have to say he really made his own grave there.

I admit, while Cell seems a bit doable as a twist, and vegita is a little odd, Freiza flat out seems especially wacky on earth, given just how much experience he has.  Cell can be rambled as having little real world experience, but Freiza had been around centuries and is super petty anyway and used to wandering around things way more durable than human and still killing them by presence.  Seeing a fic chapter of humans just interacting with him seems weird.

Prolly said this before.
Well, Goodbye.

I don't quite follow the logic of your post regarding BoD, Drac.

Drac is likely referring to Savior of Demons, which is the fic that I linked a couple of posts back. It centers on Freiza maybe undergoing a reformation, in the same way that Honor Trip deals with Cell and Breakthrough the Limit deals with Raditz.

Yup.  Belated responding :P

Anyhow, caught up on Wings of an Eagle https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8118551/1/On-The-Wings-Of-An-Eagle.  Continue to enjoy it.

This story seems to have been posted before, but I'm doing again cause it again cause the author pulled a necro.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6774017/1/Lux-Aeterna

A Ranma/Negima crossover taking place after the end of the former and near the begining of the latter.  Ranma curse starts acting up and while trying to fix it, his/her problems become compounded.  So off Ranma goes in search for a cure for all her problems and ends up in Mahora, shenanigans ensue.

This fic is amazing, one of the best Ranma crossovers I've read recently.  The story of how the author, Krahae, came out of her long hiatus is hilarious.  Turns out she was following LordsFire, another fanfiction author, who in turn was following her story.  When LordFire found out, he apparently made a deal with Krahae.  He would release the latest chapter of the story she was following within the next two days if she would do the same for Lux Aeterna.  This resulted in rapid posts from both authors, which needless to say, resulted in a lot of happy readers.

Wish this sort of thing could happen more often personally...

Also some stuff from LordsFire:

The Dungeon Crawling Series:

What happens if you take an experienced D&D player and throw them into various universes with the ability to level up like a D&D character?  Pretty much this.  It's similar to 'Harry Potter and the Natural 20' in that sense, but the main character originally was a bog standard human.  He knows how to mini-max just as well as Milo, but is considerably less socially impaired.  4th part of the series had the system abruptly change to Animus due plot spoilery reasons.  (IRL the author's apparently gotten bored of D&D and moved onto to other systems)

Note: This fic goes very indepth into D&D/Animus character building, the author even put in notes at sections which basically read, "if you don't have experience with D&D/Animus, you may want to skip the next few paragraphs."  Also the entire series was apparently "about author self-gratification" and thus, "features incredibly rapid plot movement, and insane levels of overpoweredness."  I still found it interesting however and I didn't even have any background in D&D back when I started reading it.

Anastasia

I've read bits and pieces of LordsFire's stuff. It's interesting enough for what it is. It does have some flaws, but the author's up front with it being self gratification, so I don't really care.

Caught up on Cast in Gold https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7057744/1/Cast-in-Gold.  I might've missed a chapter, though I read the last two.

I'm... starting to really lose track of things.  Something about the writing style and the spread and the interleaved time slices is just making it difficult to follow.
Well, Goodbye.

I was the one who posted the fic.  While it wouldn't be close to my nomination for "best Ranma crossover," I thought it had a few interesting approaches to certain scenes and concepts.  When it didn't update for awhile, so I'd stopped checking.  It will be interesting to see if the writer's skill has changed during her hiatus.

For the sake of discussion, I'll throw this question out to everyone: What would everyone consider the best Ranma xover fic, and why?

As for me, I like Nexus II (and BHoC).  I don't think anything (xover or not) Ozzallos wrote after Ranma/Setsuna prank war in The Best of Times was ever quite as satisfying.  And there was one Ranma/AMS fic that I liked quite a bit, even don't recall the name.

But I still like Finding Home the best of all the Ranma xovers that I can remember.  It's a pretty odd, compared to Gabriel Blessing's other fics; he changes practically nothing out of the SM manga and the fic is entirely in present tense.  The writing style is quite rough in many ways that are much improved on his later fics.  Nonetheless...

That's a hell of a good question. I'm going to tentatively ignore Sailor Moon/fuku fics for a moment, since those really feel like a whole other genre. What comes to mind, in no particular order?

Hell is a Martial Artist - It's a really fun crossover that does a lot of neat things. I might give Ozzallos way too much credit with subtext and story-crafting, but I get a lot out of this story on that front.
Mamano Hunter Ukyou - For when I want a dark story that appeals to my tastes.
Zero Interface - It takes a Ranma at the start of the series and has fun with him. It avoids all the baggage and habits he builds up over Ranma 1/2 in favor of gaining new ones in ZnT.
Forcibly United - Take a really ill fitting and stupid crossover, mix and have fun. The writer makes it work.

I'm forgetting a bunch of older fics, no doubt.

I'm forgetting a bunch of older fics too, such as Fire's excellent ones.

Zero Interface is really good.

But recent stuff, has to be Big Human on Campus by BlackDragon.  Really no question in my mind there, even though I like most of the other ones referenced.  It's got a fantastic Ranma comedy flavor, while maintaining the setting and ridiculous considerations of the original Rosario work.  They even have classic peer pressure and the principal to take Genma's "I'm gonna tell you something stupid boy, but you're gonna have to do it anyway".
Well, Goodbye.
