https://planttranslation.com/heavenly-farmer/

Chinese story of a farmer who suddenly gets a game-like system, and uses his farming skills to succeed both on Earth and the heavens.

https://tomotranslations.com/2019/01/03/it-is-a-different-world-and-yet-i-am-cultivating-monsters-volume-1-chapter-1/

Japanese story where a character tries to farm in another world where everyone eats meat, because vegetables are monsters.

There is a lot of isekai/magical farmers lately.

Isekai...I occasionally find one that's amazing, but you have to wade through lots of generic nonsense to find it (although I find that what is "generic" kind of depends on which country it's written in.  I've lately wondered if it really a product of social norms, or whether there's a bias based on the particular interests of the translators.
)

Magical Farmers...Sometime a year or two ago, I'd posted a link to World of Cultivation.  Which was amazingly good until the last 50ish chapters, where I get the feeling that the author was getting bored/impatient and wanted to wrap things up.  I've been keeping my eye out to see if I can find something else that matches the experience.

Been reading Lost in an Isekai over on spacebattles. Guy gets lost in truck and ends up in another world. Then he has to become an adventurer to survive. This isn't a power fantasy story. Its not dark, either. And, thankfully, the people around the main character aren't that special brand of stupid that isekai stories often use to make an average person seem like a genius. Also, no slaves.

In the middle of reading this.

My two thoughts:
(1) Truck as the benefit.  That's actually ridiculously practical, although I don't remember how the writer says it stays fueled.
(2) I was wondering if the repeating crossbow as actually a real thing.  It turns out that it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JToxcNxED5I So I learned something from this story.

Been reading various things lately.

Gave this a whirl. It's an SI so brace for the obvious. That being said, the guy isn't a great writer but there's an effort here. Nonetheless it has a lot of hallmarks of an amateur writer feeling things out, but has a few enjoyable notes.

A Sailor Moon rewrite. It's solid enough for what it is and some blend of the manga/anime for pacing and plot. It's like in 7.5/10 territory for me, I like it but it doesn't quite get over the hump. Still, it's competently enough written.

https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/hive-keeper-worm-dungeonkeeper-wfto-alt-power.54214/ enjoyed this a little.  It could be fun but it won't go anywhere.  It oddly treats the PRT as having retroactively held the idiot ball, and now wondering why they were dumb.
Well, Goodbye.

RomCom/RPG-insert.  I was going to say MMO-insert, but later chapters make that assumption unlikely.

Not numbers/stat sheet heavy, and while I wouldn't say this is the most amazing story I've ever read, it did keep me reading for awhile even though I wasn't really looking to read a romantic comedy at the time.

I haven't read this one yet, so I can't give any feedback on it.

But it has the best opening blurb from an Isekai translator that I've seen yet.

Story itself is fairly generic.  Harem, useless "gift" that drives main character to be OP.  No whining about rice, though, so there's that.

Anastasia

Whining about rice? I don't follow.

Superior Japanese cuisine is a big trope in low-rent isekai crap.
