This one isn't a new what if - what if Ukyo came along on the training trip. That said, it has a funny take on the curse that's worth some laughs. I'm up to the end of chapter 3 and it's okay. It plays with canon events, though I feel it's too constrained to them. On the other side, the impression is that the focus of the story is sticking to the canon and working in the changes. The author doesn't really want to depart from canon, y'know? Of course, I'm only 3 chapters in so I could be wrong. Spoilers below.

That aside I do like some of the changes. Ranma stands up to Nabiki early on, since he won't tolerate racy pictures of his sister being put around. Kuno realizing the red headed girl was Ranma is hilarious and oh so wrong, well worth reading up to that point. I also like that Ukyo isn't particularly a saint or a sinner, and that she and Ranma have a good dynamic. I just wish it wouldn't feel so obligated to stick to the canon. Bonus points for avoiding the trite and predictable cliche of Ukyo falling in the Spring of Drowned Boy.

On the bad side, it feels like he's pushing the Ranma/Akane dynamic a little too fast and hard.

Brian linked me to this yesterday and you know, it's pretty good.  It's also complete.   Premise: Tsukune is not a human.  He's also not a monster.  He's an alien whose family crash landed on earth a decade and some ago and has been pretending to be human ever since until they get picked up.

bonus: It is one of the very few Rosario fics where the succubus is even a front scoring contender for romantic hookup.  You'd think having a character concept of 'Hunting for destined lover' would kind of be a put in for that kind of stuff, but I've barely ever seen it happen (Even crossover characters don't connect) and canon has her as designated second stringer.  As joked with brian, she's the Ukyou of Rosario.

What's sad about canon is that Kurumu is apparently slowly killing herself off trying to get Tsukune. Girl needs to move on. Hell, even one of the characters in the story tells her that.

I rather liked this chapter.  Sure it wasn't a reveal all, but it's about time that got confronted.

I'd just like them to have some enemies who were credible threats. Someone like Ciel; an Ancestor-class threat every bit as ruthless as Shiro, even stronger in a fight than are he and his sekirei, and is every bit as dedicated to their ideals as Shiro. But with ideals that put them against shrio and crew. They wouldn't even be able to call her a villain. I'd like to see him try explaining that to his sister; how someone dedicated to the eradication of an entire race was still technically not evil (and maybe not even wrong).

Read through it a bit before leaving for work.

My normal apathy for "And now Ranma is a girl, because this is a sailor moon crossover!" in general (and Ozz in particular) aside, I found it very 'Meh' at prologue + half of chapter one.  It's launching itself wholly into ANC/OC territory, with shades of characters I care about imprinted on them.  Maybe if I cared more for the original SM canon, but I'm under the impression that Crystal Tokyo in general is hardcore fanon, so....

...yeah.

Enjoyable Ranma/Kasumi matchup, with a minor Stephen King reference in the worldbuilding. The prose is not that great if I'm honest, but the characterization is pretty fun to read.

Naruto joins Root.  The end result is not ... quite what Danzo had planned.

Writing is great, grammar is somewhat weak (mostly missing words or spellchecker errors).  I found it hilarious, and you may too.
