This ... amused the hell out of me:

It is kinda funny.  The writing quality drove me away after a bit though.  It's so casual with throwing in silly powerup stuff it detracts from its real amusing core (Naruto the Log Obsessed Cultist)
Well, Goodbye.

Oh, man.  Yeah, that's Ranma/Ukyou, so it popped up in my monthly check, but then it....

Really, it's just all around bad writing.

Read Nemo Blank's Chaos Factor instead:

Abandoned, but still entertaining.

I think I read this one. Is this the story where Ranma ends up...

Becoming a gold dragon or something?

Good story, time travel well done, I think. Well-written in my opinion.

I read 5 of this so far.  I like.
Well, Goodbye.

Thought so.

I'm rereading it now and it's sorta entertaining, but it's way heavy on the fanon.

Spoiler: ShowHide
The bad stuff, like Ranma being a chaos magnet, Setsuna being a controlling freak, the Senshi getting waxed by Ranma without an effort, Ranma using the Umiseiken freely. Lots and lots of fanon and plain mistakes. It's fun when it's not screwing up, but ye gods.

I read to current chapter last night.  Yeah, nice link :)

Well written and promising, though I'm not sure what to make of it. It definitely helps if you hold that Ranma is much smarter than he acts.

It's kinda neat.  It does require smart Ranma.

I dunno, it's hard to hold interest a bit (Despite neatness) as thusfar the motives of the bad guys are non-existent.  Their goal is obvious, but there's very little rationale delivered in the two chapters.  Using some of the good guys to expose on that would've been interesting, or at least their hypothesis.   As it is, it's pretty much a viral villian scenario:

"Villian Type X attacks heroes and civilians.  The goal of villian type X is to make more villian type X."

It's really not enough to make a villian.  That's a process of overwhelming a population of heroes, usually requiring a large number of them (or a large number of civilians) to draw out the horror/evil/wrongness of it.  In the absence of an actual motive, it makes for a lame main villian crew.  Even Chiyo who had plentiful time to elaborate didn't give a motive, just gave "I'm taking you so there, nya nya and you can't win."

The villians also aren't alien enough to pull if off as an intrinisic motivation.  They're minimal in their recruitment, so its not a massive alien 'One of Us, One of Us' hive mentality.  They're specifically targeting choice assets.  Their thinking is clearly human, but they're lacking interesting human motivation so far.
Well, Goodbye.

On hiatus since 2004.  Ranma, with a bit of 3x3 Eyes, 1st person perspective.  This is a pre-Nerima days Ranma, so I suppose some OOCness is forgivable, but this Ranma is very introspective.  That said, I like the way the writer was taking the time to pace the story.  It feels like a "could have been great" fic.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1931463/1/Void_Contract

The writer also has another fic that appears to be a Ranma/HP xover, but I don't read HP fics, so no clue if it's any good.

Re: Haigeki, well, the writer did say that there were five chapters already drafted, and it sounded like more were on the way, so perhaps the motive will be developed further in the later chapters.  In the story, not even a day has passed.

Anastasia

Yeah, I think you're overanalyzing two chapters, Drac. They did a bit of expo already on what's going on, let the plot advance as normal.

fair nuff. :P

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4378356/1/Magical_Girl_Ranko_vs_Z_Fighter_Ryouga something funny to counter.  It's a sequel to another silly fic, starring:
DBZ Ryoga
Razzle Dazzle Ranko - "NO WE ARE NOT STAR CROSSED LOVERS"
Playboy Jadite - Come with me if you want to live, Kasumi!

Guest Starring: Ifurita
Well, Goodbye.

Interesting way to convince me not to read your fic: 10 terms in japanese (with halfass translation) in the first two paragraphs.

A swing and a close.
Well, Goodbye.

Wait, what?  Writing is actually terrible in places, but the execution was ... passable.

QuoteInteresting way to convince me not to read your fic: 10 terms in japanese (with halfass translation) in the first two paragraphs.

The only time I've ever found that random Japanese+Footnote/Glossary added to a fic was an AMG humor/lemon where the writer deliberately mistranslated all the Japanese.  e.g IIRC the translation for "kohai" was given as "A type of fish" or somesuch.

A pity that I can't remember what it's called, or I'd link it.
