Bringer of Death updated. Now featuring everyone that isn't in the afterlife.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

So, THAT updated. Good lord I hate to gush, but this one's making me swear every 3 paragraphs. Things just keep escalating and escalating that I'm scared the author won't be able to top the last one. He does though, and it's really making me look forward to every update. It's gotten to the point where I'm not just passively following it anymore.

This wasn't...that bad?  It's a reasonable okay, in being fairly respectful to both properties instead of terrible like most Nanoha fics are to my eyes.  It also though really hasn't gone anywhere despite covering the first and start of the second book.

I liked a Nanoha/Ranma crossover somewhere. Mostly for the rare sympathetic Genma portrayal. Can't find it on ff.net -- maybe it was taken down?

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6864150/1/Professor-Takamachi -- not well written, but fun. (I think it was this one I read?) Nanoha tries to figure out Harry Potter universe while putting Hogwarts students through some Training From Hell.

A short, amusing little fic on what happens when someone finally does something about the Joker.

Short, lacking punch...

But still amusing.  Seriously, Batman's universe exists in an environment that it becomes really ridiculous when they try and apply fatalities, since the way his villains work, they'd get murdered in their cells.

The fic reviews make some amusing quips for once:
Quote"You could kill the Joker with a .50BMG sniper rifle at a range in excess of a thousand yards and I'd still rule it self defense"

Somewhat amusing and an interesting concept, but the real political realities would be much less clearcut or simple.
If you see Vampire Hikaru Shidou, it is Fox.  No one else does that.  You need no other evidence." - Dracos

"Huh? Which rant?" - Gary

"Do not taunt Happy Fun Servitor of the Outer Gods with your ineffective Thompson Submachine Gun." - grimjack

Dracos

Well, it's just the start of pulling reality into Batman.

I mean, their 'high security' setup is an often broken out of Insane Asylum with glass walls that they have folks who have gone on major property damaging and violent crime sprees within.  For the most part, the police themselves don't shoot at these obviously dangerous criminals with any effectiveness.  It's not that kinda setting.

If you got into the real, you'd have a judicial system there that really would find a way to lock them away forever or have them executed in short order.  An average joker heist commits lots of property damage, theft, and using designer drugs on people that are very likely to have permanent or fatal effects, when it isn't outright killing people.  It wouldn't take an imprisoned vigilante to kick off a 'how do we deal with it'.  Tugging that in does work for an amusing scene, but it basically keeps the rest of the environment static for mockery, even though that environment is needed for repeat conflicts.

*yammer yammer*

Anyhow, good to see ya, Edward.

Found it...not too bad.  I do like the whole go back and make things better angle.  Not too good either, but gameworlds are difficult for that when mechanics are kept in.

It's like the Fifth Act, only weaker in every way. Not that I blame them since the Fifth Act destroyed the concept of an FF7 timetravel fic. It's an impossible act to follow, y'know?

My Love's Flame updated. Lots of Ukyo and Rei interactions here, so the current Ranma and Minako plot takes a back seat. I'm less than thrilled since this update took forever, but another one should be coming down the pipe any day.
