Not quite fanfiction, but I've been reading Beneath The Dragon Eye Moons lately. Fun story, best litRPG thing I've read. It's not my genre of choice, but it's fun nonetheless.

Largely it's a story of outsiders managing to work together to make ends meet, and tomorrow happen.  Oh and an interstellar grey goo plague seeking the devouring of all life.  They just started a new book that really can be summarized as "Their 2 year mission, to travel the unknown gates, all to find a way home once again..."
