Part 4: Enter the Vault

[Shukuen]

"Hello? Is it alright if I ask a few questions?" Leets interupted politely.

[Dracos]

"huh?" A secretary turned.  "Oh, hello there.  Didn't see you come in.  Are you here for a permit?"

Dracos

[Dexie Oblivion]

Darx looks at the setting sun and sighs.

"Suppose the others will be waiting on me."

He gathers his sword and stands, heading back towards the inn.

[Shukuen]

"I was actually curious on how you get anything to grow in this desert."

[Dracos]

"Do you have your citizen papers?" She checked first.

Dracos

[Shukuen]

Leets blinked owlishly, processing that question. "No, I don't," he admitted, frowning. "My travel visas aren't enough?"

[Dracos]

"That information is classified." She answered succinctly.

Dracos

[Shukuen]

"Hm, I see."

"I guess I better take my questions to the citizinship office then," Leets shrugged. "Thanks for your time."

He left, feeling a bit annoyed at being stonewalled.

[Dracos]

Heading in, he found that older man from earlier in the citizenship office.

Dracos

[Shukuen]

"Uhh... Hello again. Didn't think you meant that was an executive uniform," Leets greeted the man with an uncertain chuckle. What kind of messed up policy was that?

[Dracos]

"Well, of course.  Hello again there." He said genially.

Dracos

[Shukuen]

"Yeah, uhm, do you mind if I ask a few questions? Or do I have to be a citizin first?" Leets asked warily.

[Dracos]

"Not at all, this is where you ask such questions."

Dracos

[Shukuen]

"What are the full benefits of becoming a citizen here? Are there any differences between being a citizen and noncitizen other then not being able to access certain information?"

[Dracos]

The man laughed. "So sure you can acquire citizens, young man?  We don't just hand them out.  Anyhow, this is the safest city in the region."
