"I don't really care," Bjorn replies tersely, "and I don't imagine he will either.  Now.  Hard way or easy way?"

Dracos eyed the yakuza impatiently, waiting for their answer.

"The hard way," Kakuji replies, as his men go for their guns.

[Bjorn]

Bjorn says nothing, but simply leaps straight in, moving straight towards Kakuji to take out the goons nearest him.

Swapping out Nightmare Presence for Perfect Timing.  As said, I'm going to get as close as I can to Kakuji, taking out anyone who gets in the way or tries to shield him, letting Tom and Nathan take out the ones farther out.  Main goal here is to prevent Kakuji from leaving the room, and seeing if taking out his goons will soften his spine a little.

Nathan doesn't hesitate - a firebolt is in the air as he releases his first arrow, and his hands almost blur as he goes for more.

If I need to DEX check this to release it before they get their guns out, my dex is currently 20.

Both my +1s will go to OCV and I'll be rapid firing two fire arrows at two different Yakuza.

My bow OCV is thusly 15, or 13 when rapid firing.

If I get shot at, I'm aborting to DFC.

As everyone prepares to fight, but before the Yaks can draw their guns, a form drops from the empty space of the ceiling.  A heartbeat later, Mark is behind Kakuji, Chinese sword across the Yakuza-boss's throat.  "How hard are we talking?" he asks conversationally, when the Yaks freeze again.

Tetsuo snorts from where he has drawn his box-cutter.  "I wondered where he went," the boy mutters in Japanese.

[Carthrat]

Tom's hand sticks his gun back into his jacket, safety placed back on, and slouches against the wall, his face a tapestry of incredulity, relief, and exasperation.

[Bjorn]

OOC: Oh, well, if the *NPCs* are going to act, I guess that's okay then too.  But they only get a half-XP share, right?  Switching back to Nightmare Presence.

Bjorn stops in front of Kakuji.  "I think our friend here might have been confused," he says to Mark conversationally.  "Us killing all of them was the easy way.  The hard way is when we all try to get along and work together to accomplish each other's goals.  Peace and harmony is never easy, but it's worth working towards, don't you think?"

[Brian]

"You're the boss," Mark agrees, though the sword doesn't move.  The yaks reluctantly, and slowly, place their guns on the table.

Kakuji begins to sweat nervously.  "W...what do you mean?" he asks.

[Bjorn]

"You want to be successful in your organization," Bjorn replies pleasantly.  "We want to meet your boss, quickly and with no hassles.  If you help us with our goal, then we can try to help with yours."

[Brian]

"We....  We'll need to go to Osaka.  I'll need my phone."  He looks towards Tetsuo warily.  The other yaks look supremely uncomfortable, but there's nothing they can do at the moment.

[Bjorn]

Bjorn makes a thoughtful noise.  "Meeting your boss on his own turf?  You're willing to... guarantee that there won't be complications?"

[Brian]

"He only comes out for executions," Kakuji says shakily.  "And to talk to Prometheus."
