Previous chapter was here, except that ultimately it turns out I decided to split it into two chapters after all. Or you can go to ranko.anifics.com for the finalized version.

Here's the next chapter. Comments and impressions very much desired and appreciated.

Gah the early chapters are so boring. Must... get... to... chapter six.

On the other hand, I guess it's true that the more you write the easier it becomes.

Timid-san

Aha, I finally tracked another part of this very hard to find story. A fluke I came across it at all, really. One which I'm thankful for as this was extremely entertaining.

When reading this story I was coming at it from the viewpoint of a long time Ranma fic reader, and having the Tomoyo42's Room webcomic view of Card Captor Sakura http://www.manga.clone-army.org/t42r.php?page=119 so I can't say I knew the crossover material very well. You did a really good job of introducing all the main characters though, so I hardly felt like I was missing something.

Sakura was sweet, clumsy, annoying. Typical main character type material really. I liked Tomoyo, she came across as very likeable.

When you mentioned the sports festival early in the story I thought for sure that was where we would see Ranma's physical skills displayed. Didn't happen that way, and I was sort of dissapointed. But then there's the action scenes sprinkled liberally about the story, which more than make up for it. Possibly the best parts so far, all that stuff about them chasing down these cards is pretty interesting.

The name of the main character... I got used to. Though I definitely did not like it at first.

For the supporting characters, you introduced Rika really well. Involving her right from the start. My favorite character so far, well done. On the other hand, in chapter three two characters showed up that I didn't even recognize, with no introduction I could discern. Possibly I missed it in the previous chapters? Naoko and Chiharu. It was especially a problem with Naoko, seeing the chapter starts off in her point of view. I was lost for a while, until I got a vague mental picture of who was narrating.

Great story, can't wait to see more. Especially if the action really does heat up more after chapter 6. I just hope you don't suddenly jump ahead a couple of years. The biggest novelty in this story is the ages of the characters, I don't remember EVER reading a fanfiction with Ranma around this age.

Thanks for the comments, Timid-san!

Glad you liked it. You have really no idea how delighted someone off of Soulriders coming across this story at all is making me.

Thanks, but while I try to write the story in a way that people don't need to know either Ranma 1/2 or Card Captor Sakura in order to enjoy it, the fact remains that you will probably enjoy it more if you knew enough about CCS to notice what is being changed from the continuity of that story. And of course, watching CCS is worth it on its own, I think.

Tomoyo is EVIL! EVIL I SAY! Sorta.

Sorry about that, but unfortunately in order to get the story across just right, I have to skip forward sometimes (or else it becomes tedious to those who have seen the series). You'll find out more about what happens in that particular event later (maybe), though the importance of the sports festival wasn't really Li's physical abilities.

I wish there was a bit more of it, to tell the truth.

Quote from: "Timid-san"The name of the main character... I got used to. Though I definitely did not like it at first.

The reasoning goes like this:

Quote from: "Serafita, from the story idea""L-luan Ma..." she (Sakura) whispered.

"It's Ranma now." he said...

Which means Sakura doesn't call him Ranma in this entire arc of the story. But Luan Ma is just too awkward to use constantly, as well as really easy to fudge into Ranma for a Japanese person I would think. Therefore, Li.

Thanks a ton, Sera. Well, nothing to do for it except make it an important plot point.

Mihara Chiharu was introduced very passingly in chapter one along with Takashi Yamazaki. Yanagisawa Naoko was introduced in chapter two.

Quote from: "Timid-san"It was especially a problem with Naoko, seeing the chapter starts off in her point of view. I was lost for a while, until I got a vague mental picture of who was narrating.

Well, that was really supposed to be her detailed introduction, actually.

Heck no. You can be assured I won't be jumping years until the end of the prologue arc, somewhere around chapter... thirty? Haven't structured into chapters that far ahead yet, but it sounds about right.

Bah, 'tis but a novelty. Read it for the character interaction, you should. Actually, I think there is another by VGZ under a very similar concept (and coincidentally with the same name). You can find it on his website. I'd link you directly to the page but his site doesn't let Internet Explorer read it.

Thanks again for the C&C. You can get more WCB by aiding me in the campaign to get Serafita to comment as well. Hint hint hint.

Hmm, same title, similar premise... nowhere near as good. Reading it made me realize how well you've handled the characters, they actually feel like the age they're supposed to be. That other story felt like a normal 16 year old Ranma, despite the storyline.

One thing I meant to ask is have you written anything else? It never hurts to check out other works of good authors.

Uh, right

There's a copy of Trials of the Soul, another of Serafita's ideas (because I like them so) in this Writing Section, but that was way back when I was starting out writing, and I've been stuck on it for quite some time. I don't write very much, so the only stuff besides that would be on the Anime Addventure.
