Yesterday:

Battlestadium D.O.N.- Kind of fun, in a Smash Brothers kind of way. Wish they had used Bleach instead of Dragonball. Those characters are waaay over their expiration date. It doesn't fell like there are as many charactrs as there actually are. I've only unlocked one character so far. This game gets the top prize for most rediculously retarded way to break out new characters. Also, not friendly for those of us that can't read the moon language.

Real Boute Fatal Fury Two
Metal Slug X
Waku Waku 7
Breakers
Galaxy Fight
Last Blade 2 - Having a friend with a mostly working SNK arcade machine owns. :D

SVC Chaos
Maximum Impact 2
SNK Battlecoliseum

What can I say? It was fight night.

Dracos

Today I played some Phantasy Star Universe.

This was  only pretty bad and corny.

Then I played some Les  Miserables.

There we go.  So bad, so utterly corny, that it becomes  funny.  It's called Armjoe or something like that, but it sports Robot Valjean.  It's practically uncontrollable and totally ridiculous.

Now, I'll have to play something good like Peggle or Lunar knights or something.  After I stop laughing.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Dexie Oblivion

Hum.

Giving DQ8 a second chance. Dunno why, though...I couldn't stand it the first time I tried it. Weird.
Pet my snake, pet my ssssnaaaake. :P

Dracos

Played some Lunar Knights t he other day.  Also played some Super  Paper mario.  Lacked wow factor for some reason.  Probably the annoying guy behind me.

This month in retro...

Guardian Legend (NES)-
Classic! I can't believe I overlooked this as a kid - those stupid reptilian eyes! Can't say I've played a better shooter - with some updated mechanics, it could be greatly innovative even today.

Blaster Master (NES)-
Lol. Man that game was annoying. It was such a pain to play... I keep running out of continues...

Fester's Quest (NES)-
Lol x2. Made by the same group as BM. Short, Quirky, and fun.

F-Zero (GC)-
Woah. That game is so hard. I tried beating Story mode but I keep getting my butt handed to me. After a week, I decided to give up on it. I have better things to do with my time...

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow (GBA)-
Tons of fun. My favorite of the series so far. When I get a DS, I'll play the sequel.

Dual Hearts (PS2)-
Wow. This game surprised me. It was a ton of fun and had a great story: it was one of those games, like Final Fantasy 8, where the ending was so well done that it was well worth the price of admission. Best $10 I ever spent...

Next:
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter (PS2)-
So far, I think its great! Definitely one of their best. Of course, I haven't had to Give Up yet... (My D-Counter's at 8%)

Dexie Oblivion

Tried God of War 2 demo. Wasn't expecting much, seeing as how I hated the first game, and I wasn't disappointed. Demo was boring. :/

Back to DQ8!
Pet my snake, pet my ssssnaaaake. :P

Man, those are some classics.  Guardian Legends for the win =D

Namco made a crappy hack-off of it a couple years back, but it was pathetic.

anyhow, I'm playing Lunar Knights today.  Fun and better than a good deal of grind designed games I've played lately.  Amazing how much of a difference a little bit more flesh around makes, not to mention non-random dungeon design.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Sigma Star Story...
That's actually next on my list...

It's really bad.  I didn't have the heart to tell the proud producer I met that it was so horrible.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

I'm tempted to load up Paladin's Quest for the SNES. Only RPG I never beat, from what I remember.

Sometimes, it's good to learn how NOT to make a game...

Especially since I plan to make my own version of the same idea...

Ah, yes. I loved that game. Good ol' Lennus. They made a sequel...

I've been meaning to go back and play 7th Saga myself. Now that was a HARD game... (I hate that stupid dwarf...)

...They also made a sequel to that, too...

Mainly because they halved all the stat gains in the US version and thus made you half your effective level at any point.  For this kind of game, that was a pretty major handicap.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Dexie Oblivion

Restarted Pokemon Emerald, continuing on Pokemon Leaf Green.

The road to Diamond/Pearl has begun...

Replaying Company of Heroes.  "This time," I said to myself, "I'm going to turn this game inside out.  This time, I will not get completely pasted on the default difficulty nine times out of ten.  THIS time, I will show Jerry what's for."

And then, 30 minutes later, I've advanced exactly one city block - where I was previously pinned down by a sniper - only to stumble into the sights of a nested machine gunner.  And due to a wonky save system and generally unintuitive interface, I wind up repeating that section again.

But then I get to mess with cool demo tanks or kill AT/Flak/mortar crews and steal their hardware or deploy BARs to pin down a column of approaching infantry, and all is well again ^^
eaning back in my chair.  Oh yeah!
I'm living on the edge, I'm so hardcore!
DEAR GOD, I'VE GONE TOO FAR!

Jason_Miao

Perfect Cherry Blossom:  The first 3 levels, no problem.  Level 4, I slowly watch the Master Spark counter go lower, lower, lower...then I die.  On normal.

Oh well.  I did run through Imperishable Night on easy, first time through, no continues.  That has to be worth something.  Even if I did miserably against the Last Boss's final spells.

Actually, playing shoot 'em ups has me wondering if there's a framework out there to program one.  I imagine that it wouldn't be too difficult to write the engine yourself (just moving sprites and collision detection), but it would probably still take more time than I have available.
