Are you kidding? I'm gaining levels like crazy there and they drop nice advanced materials+shards. I'm going to build a fucking house there.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Brian

Huh.  Drac and I tried it repeatedly and it wasn't worth the difficulty.

Must be the benefits of your brother's NG+.  We'll keep that in mind when we have the mental fortitude for a second playthrough.

Edit: Actually.  We were on chaos.  At that level, the enemies there tear you apart, so that didn't help.  I tried to talk Drac into turning it down to easy for power-leveling purposes, but that didn't turn out particularly well, either.

Yeah, we tended to run on Chaos all the time.

That said, I think they still ended up being ridiculously dangerous on Evil and were just not fun/interesting on much below that.

Chaos tends to really adjust the mode of play, since Interrupting spells largely becomes impossible.
Well, Goodbye.

You know, Borderlands 2 is kinda interesting.  I can get into it a little bit.  The scaling isn't so awesome, and the legendaries that are only available from save editing confuse me a bit.

But playing through it this evening, I suddenly had a thought of what would make it a really cool game.

What if Borderlands 2 had ... wait for it ... CO-OP?

I mean, what if you and a friend, who had bought the four-player-pack anyway, were able to play the game ... together?

Man.  I'll just wish they'd add that feature.  It would be so awesome....

Tales of Graces f: I just made it to Fodra before calling it a night.

Would I be wrong in calling Sophie the main character of the story? She feels like it for me, especially since Asbel routinely gets smacked down.

So the community added adjustable drop rates into the game.  Borderlands 2 became a rewarding co-op game overnight :P

Of story 1?  Yeah, probably nothing wrong with that.

Agreed. Speaking of ToGf!

ToGf: Up to the endgame with Ghardia Shaft. I'm doing the sidequest samba now, going around and all that happy crap. I'm working on a pet theory for this game, one that revolves around the distinct similarities between Lunar 2: Eternal Blue and Tales of Graces f. Let's see now.

Lunar 2 and ToGf both take place on a verdant and lush moon in orbit of a desolate planet. Both stories revolve around a mysterious young woman from the desolate planet. Both young women are meant to destroy a terrible threat to the verdant moon, have a lack of emotional and social skills and become strongly attached to the male lead. That's really just off the top of my head, but now that this theory's in my mind? I can't stop seeing it.

Eh ... the Lunar2 story still somewhat builds on the original Lunar.  ToGF doesn't have any significant story-ties to any other game at all.  It's pretty much just another Tales game that happens to have some factors lining up.

Certainly, Hubert isn't a good analog for whats-his-face, who joins the good guys wearing a mask, etc.

You can't possibly be talking about WHITE KNIGHT LEO. Because he doesn't wear a mask.

Brian

Getting back into New Vegas.  I just finished the Lonesome Road DLC.

Short.  Kind of surreal.  Interesting, though.

Finally getting around to finishing up Borderlands 1. I figure with 2 out there I should at least make an effort to polish off the first one.

Main story is done, last fight was long but not particularly hard. Poking away at the expansions now.
I am a terrible person.
Excellent Youkai.

Yeah, pretty much my impression. It wasn't the best of the DLC arcs, as something about Ulysses' motivation doesn't add up for me, but the dude's voice is so striking that it works well enough anyway (seriously, he sounds like Discworld DEATH does in my head).

Dracos

Huuum...

Only Oda can rule Japan!  Isn't that right Oda?

So just finished Nobunaga Oda's first (blue) track in Sengoku Basara and it was awesome.  Oda teamed up with the only one he could ever trust...  Oda.

They just were not ready for two demon kings going through the country.  Murdering absolutely everyone.  Then going to back down to hell to do it again!

Remains fun co-op smashery.  Recommended.  *nods*

Heh.  Fun games by themselves, but they really shine in co-op to my mind.  2 players though is the idea size usually.

Borderlands 2 finally has a community fix (A cheat) that adjusts drop rarities.  This dramatically betters the game back towards BL1's level.  And given that aside from that it is vastly better, it is now the improved experience.
Well, Goodbye.
