Nah, Tiz was a Dark Knight and Ringabel an Arcanist. I'll agree with your points pretty much entirely.
[spoiler]
Throughout chapter 6 the party all but confirms their knowledge that Airy is evil, and at the end they sound genuinely anguished at going through the pillar another time. I'll admit Airy's cute giggling and "I did it! I did it!" bit at the end of chapter 8 could have been taken innocently if they had any doubts about her evilness, but there were no doubts to be had.

The stuff with the other worlds during the final boss battle was really cool though. Just a shame the fight kept going to cut scenes and when it came back your buffs were gone. I ran out of dragon fangs from making so many giant's drafts.

I never ended up using Giant's Drafts.  I did buy a ton of dragon's fangs because what else was I to spend my money on after chapter 5?  I had rejuvenation going on 2 round cycles, so I pretty much had infinite MP to play around with and keep my guys healed.

I was using Blood Blade on two of my characters, followed by weapon swaps, and I really got quite sick of the buffing juggle that started off the 6ish phases :(

I think I actually did more than his max hp during one of the immortality sections.  He got hit with some 270,000 damage in a round.

Definitely a very cool final battle, closing out a terrible final chapter.

Did you go fight the Adventurer (Optional Dimensional Hasp boss)?
Well, Goodbye.

Ebiris

I didn't, no. Did go all through the hasp but never found him.

Dracos

I refuse to spoiler tag this because it is frankly Super Bullshit:

He's hidden behind the last treasure chest in the dungeon.  You walk straight through the wall, turn right, then later turn right again, and then he's there.

Absolutely a "If someone doesn't tell you about it, you will not find him" boss.  The hidden walls were obnoxious enough with the Diving Rod to at least let you know there was something to find.
Well, Goodbye.

I misplaced my copy of ni no kuni.

This made one unhappy, but we live in a glorious time where for the price of a sandwich, games can reappear.  And so it has.

And now "Sherrie" is again "Myrtle", for silliness.

I'm cheatin' this go around, mainly to ignore Collection as a thing, but later I'll start copying my monsters over.  NG+ without the NG+ feature :3
Well, Goodbye.

Been playing more Ni No Kuni.  Again remembering how lame the random math was on recruiting things, as well as the absurd balance (Monsters ridiculously stronger than others, other monsters with ridiculous xp costs, post game monsters with xp to max equal to going from 1 to 99, or greater than that), but it's still a beautiful fairy tale setting.
Well, Goodbye.

Kaldrak

I've decided to give Outlast a go. Should be exciting.

You know, the investigative reporter is a really good 'Why am I willing to stick around in zombie hell' answer.
Well, Goodbye.

Haven't played Ni no Kuni, but it seems a shame that they basically hired Ghibli to put a beautiful skin on... gameplay-wise, what was it... it sounds like an unbalanced Pokemon clone?

Or at least, as someone who likes Ghibli but has low tolerance for RPGs and grinding, that's obviously what it would feel like to me....
That the dead tree with its scattered fruit, a thousand times may live....

Dracos

It's a pokemon clone with only the standard balls, and quests to have specific pokemon at certain times.

It's a beautifully themed game, don't get me wrong, but the core mechanics don't do it many favors and the math is plain bad.
Well, Goodbye.

"Oh, hey, Dark Souls is free on xbox gold. KL talked this up; I should go ahead and download it!"

Two hours later...

"SKELETONS!!!!"

Sierra

You're not supposed to go that way immediately. >.>

(You can, but seriously don't.)

thepanda

Yeah, I figured that out.

Eventually.

So for the past couple weeks, I've been One Way Heroics-ing it up.  I crushed that poor game, or all but.  Every difficulty level, but not Maniac modifier.  Every character epilogue.  Every special item.

I suppose I didn't do the 20k marathon either, but basically it didn't really have much left for me to beat into the ground.

Had surprising amount of fun with it, for all that it really isn't much there.  It's very simple, and generally is mostly Punch Things.  Training Bracelet was definitely the break the game item, as whether or not your character is strong, it can make your allies godly quickly.
Well, Goodbye.
